Location, Location, Location: This private home is located just blocks from Old Town Plaza, where you can experience the "enchantment" of New Mexico’s restaurants, cafes, shops, art, street merchants, live music and entertainment. We are also close distance to numerous museums including The Albuquerque Museum of Art, Explora Children's Museum, the Museum of Natural Science and History, and the Rattlesnack Museum. Nearby is theTiguex Park, the Aquarium, Botanical Gardens, Abq Zoo, Tingley Beach and the Rio Grande crafts. Still, this property is located in a historic neighborhood in the desert. Bugs are a part of life here in the southwest. While we make every effort to stay on top of pest control and keep the apartments spotless for guests, we cannot completely control nature and therefore you may see the occasional bug. Please be aware of this and make sure you're ok with the possibility before booking. The Neighborhood: We love the historic feel and the charm that Old Town delivers. It's always enjoyable to slow down and spend time strolling through the square and the numerous shops and restaurants available. We feel perfectly safe walking around Old Town both day and night, just sticking to the immediate blocks around the plaza, and around Rio Grande Blvd. Going from Central towards Downtown does have some isolated stretches so it is recommended to use common safety sense as you would in any big city. Walk score of 84 out of 100\. This location is Very Walkable so most errands can be accomplished on foot. Bike score of 87 (very bikeable, flat as a pancake, good bike lanes). There is a bike rental shop within walking distance as well. Uber, Lyft and Taxi's are always available. It was clean and well appointed and within walking distance to old town. It had a fenced yard for the dog (if you have a small dog, the gate may have large enough spacing for them to get out, so you may have to block off the gate, but it wasn't a problem for my 60lb dog). It was centrally located for our travels around Albuquerque. Our pet was safe there in the back yard and the home and yard were as advertised. The home was very hot when we arrived but the AC cooled it down fairly quickly. We come from a very rural area that is pretty quiet. The road noise of the jacked-up cars was a bit annoying but that isn't the owners fault. All in all it was an enjoyable stay in this historic area of Albuquerque. ##### Paula D.
