It’s called Vega, and starting September 1, 2023, you’ll be able to book this brand-new apartment in the heart of Alba’s historic center.
It’s located inside Serendipity, a 19th-century building renovated according to a design focused on the highest level of living comfort. Restored historic walls, exposed wooden beams, bleached oak floors, and designer furniture and lighting.
Just a short walk from Piazza del Duomo, your vacation in the Langhe begins at qui.La, a property at
. The apartments are located within a building in Alba’s historic center, just a short walk from Via Vittorio Emanuele and Piazza Risorgimento, where the Duomo is located.
The building, dating back to the mid-1800s, has been renovated using the latest techniques to offer guests the utmost comfort: optimal air quality with a VMC system for automatic air exchange, an air conditioning system with high heating and cooling capacity achieved with minimal noise (Vector Control technology), and complete thermal insulation of the building, which ensures greater thermal comfort, reduced humidity, and less noise pollution inside the apartments.
The renovation was completed in July 2023 and was carried out with meticulous attention to detail—not only in terms of living comfort but also in terms of design and the quality of the furnishings and lighting.
Furthermore, the original stone and brick walls have been preserved on some of the apartment’s walls; when combined with the wooden ceiling featuring exposed beams, the bleached oak flooring, the minimalist design of the furnishings, and the specially designed lighting, they create truly exclusive spaces.
From the street, you enter the building through a pedestrian gate by entering a personal numeric code (apartment code) on the keypad located to the left of the entrance.
The same code also allows you to open the apartment’s front door.
The large windows are equipped with external sunshades that offer maximum privacy and allow you to adjust the amount of sunlight entering the apartment as desired.
All double beds in the apartment come with orthopedic bed bases, mattresses featuring seven-zone pocket springs, and memory foam pillows to ensure optimal rest; additionally, each bedroom has its own private bathroom with a shower, accessible directly from the bedroom itself.
The apartments are equipped with Wi-Fi, and each bedroom has a 42-inch smart TV.
In the property’s courtyard, separated from the street by a minimalist Corten steel gate, there are two private parking spaces for the exclusive use of the apartments. The private parking spaces are available for a fee (check availability)
The driveway gate opens with a code (gate code).
The apartment (Vega)
Upon entering the apartment, you’ll find a living area with four large windows—two facing the street and two facing the inner courtyard. Here you’ll find a 107-cm round table (Tulip model, designed by A. Saarinen) with 4 chairs (Seven model, designed by A. Jacobsen), suitable for dining for 4 people, and a sofa.
This room transforms into a perfect bedroom simply by unfolding the fold-down double bed recessed into the wall. The sofa will automatically adjust, and the backrest will slide under the bed’s base. (Note: the fold-down bed has a safety slow-close mechanism that allows it to lower and raise very easily). Furthermore, despite being a fold-down bed, it retains the same features as the other beds in the two bedrooms, ensuring that all occupants of the apartment enjoy the same quality of sleep.
The full bathroom with a shower is located directly behind the wall behind the bed, so it’s directly accessible from the bedroom.
Beyond the painted glass sliding door, you’ll find the kitchen equipped with a refrigerator, dishwasher, a microwave, an induction cooktop, and an exhaust hood with external ventilation. The ceramic countertop features a built-in sink, and the faucet has a pull-out spray. The kitchen also features a convenient wooden breakfast bar with two stools.
The kitchen is strategically located, as it can be accessed directly from the bedroom or from the living room/bedroom without disturbing the other people sharing the apartment with you.
Leaving the kitchen, you’ll find the bedroom, complete with a small walk-in closet; the bathroom, accessible directly from the bedroom through two sliding doors made of iron-colored painted glass, features a large shower and separate toilet and sink; in front of the bed is a 42-inch smart TV.
The minimalist-style double bed appears to be suspended and features a hidden light source at the bottom that casts a very atmospheric glow throughout the room.
