Overlooking picturesque views of the Akaroa Harbour and within walking distance of the local eateries and attractions, this charming holiday home is sure to be your happy place! Welcome to Le Solterre!   
  
Sunlight pours into every room of this Akaroa accommodation, while comfortable furnishings and vintage decor offer a relaxing atmosphere for your quiet family trip or weekend getaway with friends.  
  
Open the French doors and seamlessly flow out onto the elevated deck. Lay out a spread of delicious local produce and Akaroa smoked salmon picked up from town, pour yourself a glass of wine, and raise a glass to your holiday.  
  
On a warm summer's day, lay out a rug on the lush lawn as the kids kick a ball around, leaving the BBQ to sizzle away in the background laden with all the essentials for a classic Kiwi feast. Whip up some sides in the fully equipped kitchen, and share a meal together in your little slice of paradise.  
  
During winter stays, log into your Netfilx account and unwind in front of the TV, or simply curl up on the couch with a hot cuppa and admire the view out the picture windows.  
  
Three-bedrooms and two-bathrooms comfortably accommodate up to eight guests here at Le Solterre. There's also a full laundry for those longer stays filled with family fun.  
  
Once you’re ready to explore, walk two minutes to discover the scenery at Garden of Tane and wander through to the Akaroa Lighthouse to take some holiday snaps.  
  
Stroll five minutes in the opposite direction and find yourself immersed in the art, history, and French culture the town centre and harbour have to offer. Why not take a dolphin watching cruise, you won't be disappointed! Other great attractions to check out include the Akaroa Museum and The Giants House.

#### Wonderful cottage stay!

Le Solterre - Akaroa Holiday Home in Jan/Feb 2025 was even more delightful than expected for our stay with 2 adults and 3 children! The house was clean and neat, kitchen VERY well-equipped, with lovely yard and gardens. Decor and room arrangements were comfortable and relaxed, beds and bedding very nice and all appliances worked well. Location of the house is excellent, so much within a 10-minute walk or quick drive to shop, dine, explore, beach play, playground and movie theatre. Don't miss the Giant's House!!\*\*Unfortunately, the newly installed key lockbox did not function, and seemed to be jammed (we are familiar with lockboxes). Unable to get into the house upon arrival, we did call property management and got a kind response, though there was about an hours' wait to get a key delivered as we had to shuttle kiddos into town for toilet use after the drive. Lockbox location also needs an accurate description: it is NOT on a "pole", but was found on a large deck post after searching for some time.The front door lock is also in need of repair, as it does not always latch properly, which is very inconvenient and a security risk.
