For the most part, everything was good. They were just a A few specific concerns regarding safety Cleanliness, Kitchen and washroom facilities. There was stuff left in the fridge from the previous tenants and old garbage left in the veranda when we arrived. The back door wouldn’t latch properly and whenever we use the oven it would become extremely smoky it would also spark consistently inside the element And was not cleaned prior. The main Floor toilet would not flush consistently. And the hot tub had a bunch of brown stuff across the water line. But it was a nice place to rest and relax

The pictures of the cabin are deceiving, it is more run down than can be seen on the pictures (cracks between flooring, etc.). Although lakefront, the water is very hard to access, as it sits on a cliff. They do have a ladder down, but it was very difficult getting the kayaks to the water and getting into the kayaks. The cabin was generally clean, but there was a funky smell in the kitchen and one part of the upstairs. It has NO A/C, they do have fans to use the lake breeze to cool the cabin off, but it only works to some extent some nights, but during the day it got quite hot and 1/3 nights we stayed there, it did not cool off and was very hot. For the amount of people you can book the cabin for, there was not enough dishes (if I remember correctly, only 5 mugs). The host is good to deal with and responds to messages fairly quickly, we still enjoyed our time, only wish that the listing had been more accurate.

We recently stayed at this cabin and had a bit of a mixed experience. On the positive side, the cabin is charming and very well-stocked with everything you could need. The view of the lake is breathtaking, and we especially enjoyed the hot tub—it was clean and incredibly relaxing. The cabin also had a great selection of board and card games, which added to the fun of our stay.However, we did encounter a few cleanliness issues. When we arrived for check-in, the cleaners were still on-site. They requested more time, but unfortunately, it seemed like not much had been done. We found dirty bathrooms, unclean toilets, dirty laundry left behind from previous guests, and old meat leftover in the fridge. Both the fridge and freezer had not been cleaned and were in need of attention. Additionally, just below the steps leading to the property, there were at least 10 piles of dog waste that hadn’t been picked up.Overall, this cabin has so much potential and many wonderful features. With more attention to cleanliness, it could easily be a fantastic place to stay.

Cabin is smaller than pictures make it out to be. We made it work as we had a group of 7 but a full group of 10 would be quite uncomfortable. Bedrooms were nice but its very hot in the cabin. Especially upstairs. There's a portable unit in the master bedroom upstairs but at times it would leak so we had to put a tray under the drain hose. Due to the cabin being so hot, our kids ended up sleeping in our room with the portable AC. The flooring upstairs needs to be replaced, it's broken with pieces missing. Grass needs to be mowed, there's some garbage like tires and metal in the bushes. Letting renters know that the lake isn't deep once you climb down the ladder would have been nice. On our last day we saw some other campers swimming in the lake so we then decided we would see for ourselves. Without a heads up there's no way of knowing how deep it is. Kids had a blast swimming. We walked north a bit and saw a trail. A nice couple let us take the trail down to the lake. They also gave us fresh garden veggies which was kind of them. A 20 minute drive north to pine dock gave us a beach to swim at. Spent a few hours there. Providing some better cookware like better frying pans and cookie sheets would be beneficial.The cabin could use a bit of a deep cleaning. Beside the stove specifically and the walls leading up the stairs. I think if you stay here in the fall or winter, it would be beautiful. During the summer with no AC was just unbearable. Overall, we had a good time.
