Frequently asked questions

What is the best area to stay in Zhibiani?
The best area to stay in Zhibiani is the village centre, particularly around the main square and along the road leading towards the Zhibiani River.

This area is the heart of the village and offers the most convenient access to local amenities and the starting points for many activities. You'll find a concentration of guesthouses and local eateries here, making it easy to experience the local way of life. The general layout is quite compact, allowing for easy walking between points of interest.

For couples seeking a relaxing retreat with opportunities for outdoor activities, this central area is ideal. Many guesthouses offer comfortable accommodation with views of the surrounding mountains. You're well-placed to enjoy short walks to nearby waterfalls or simply unwind in a peaceful setting.

Solo travellers will also find the village centre a good base. It provides opportunities to meet other travellers and locals, and guesthouses can often help arrange guided treks or transport for exploring the wider region.
When is the best time to go to Zhibiani?
The best time to go to Zhibiani is during the summer months, from June to September, when the weather is warm and dry, making it ideal for exploring the natural beauty of the region.

During this period, the mountain trails are fully accessible, and the alpine meadows are in bloom. This is superb for those who enjoy hiking and outdoor activities, as the comfortable temperatures allow for extended adventures without the chill of the shoulder seasons. The longer daylight hours also mean more time to take in the stunning landscapes.

For travellers interested in cultural experiences, late summer often coincides with local festivals and events in the surrounding Samegrelo region.
