Could not recommend Sun Moon Home more highly to anyone looking for a quiet and relaxing stay. The hosts were extremely hospitable as well. Having arrived late, they welcomed us warmly and made sure we had something to eat. They provided me a vegetarian meal that was well balanced and delicious. The rooms are quiet except for the frogs but the earplugs did the trick. I slept really well. As a solo female traveler it’s a safe, comfortable and welcoming place to stay. I highly recommend staying here if you are going to Sun Moon Lake. You can make a carpool reservation on Trip Pool if you don’t want to take the bus. Uber does work but during the week there are not many drivers. The host of the property was accommodating and friendly. I recommend this place for anyone looking to stay in a very natural and traditional setting yet still close enough to enjoy Sun Moon Lake. Rent bikes in town and make sure to bring things you will need as there aren't any stores in a reasonable walking distance. We rode around Sun Moon Lake and were quite naive about the length of some of the hills, but it was a great experience all in all.
