Let me start with the property was fine. The room was fairly clean, at least as clean as my own house. The bed was big with lots of pillows and while not the best mattress, firm and comfortable. I was able to change the HVAC easily for my needs. TV remote gave me some issues but I figured it out. Breakfast, especially the coffee, was PHENOMENAL! Best hotel breakfast I've ever had! Coffee machine is fantastic! Now...I did have one issue....Checking in was a nightmare! I called multiple times to let the staff know that I wouldn't be there until around 10 PM and each time they said that wouldn't be an issue. I got there right around 10 PM and NO ONE WAS THERE! I had to wait for 30 minutes for the Front desk person to return and check me in! After a long day and in the middle of a HUGE thunderstorm that was not what I expected. I did find out that the front desk guy had an asthma attack and had to run out to the local pharmacy for a rescue inhaler. He had no backup and the "back in 5 minutes" sign was just insulting. I am glad that he was okay. I also asked for a ground floor room near an exit and I got one but that exit was closed off due to construction....grrrr! Then when asking where to park, I got a "you can park anywhere" response which wasn't what I was looking for! I wanted to know how I could park and unload my stuff NEAR MY ROOM! I used to work the nightshift at a hotel. So I expected better from the staff. Breakfast alone makes this place worth it!

Hotel is convenient for the event we were attending that weekend and also an excellent restaurant across the road. Nothing else in the area though. Hotel is older and could use updates. Only one desk clerk so quite a wait to check in. Breakfast was not refilled as most items were nearly gone. Pool is small, and no hot tub. Overall, not bad for the price.
