« The property was clean and the communication from the owners was good. However it does need some time spending on getting things sorted. All the beds need new mattresses we had to put all the duvets down to sleep on top of and even brought an air bed due to being so uncomfortable. Some other minor points, the kettle lid was broken and could only be opened by picking from the side (not safe when hot). The curtain rail in the main bedroom was hanging out of the room. « The location of the cottage is excellent, right next to the river Esk and on a very quiet holiday park (in April anyway). There is an amazing viaduct over the river where there is bungy jumping every couple of weeks during the summer and you can walk over it into Whitby which is only 30 mins away on foot. The pool is NOT 24 hrs as advertised and you have to pay. The property can be a bit difficult to find because the name plaque of the plot is covered by an overgrown hydrangea. If you use what 3...

« The cottage was gorgeous, in a lovely quiet location and parking at the back. It was spotlessly clean and beautifully decorated. We only stayed a night but it had almost everything you'd need for a stay. A bit of soap in the bathroom and teatowel/towel and washing up liquid in the kitchen with some milk for a cuppa when you arrive would have made it perfect.
