"On the one hand, this place needs a makeover. It's dated and needs some sprucing up. However, the place is super comfortable, the English breakfast is amazing, and the location is awesome. The staff was amazing, they helped us through a rough car rental issue. Great place to stay for one or two nights and get to know York."

"We really enjoyed our stay. The hotel is perfectly situated by the river, which was lovely for morning walks. We upgraded to a suite, which was spacious, well designed, and thoughtfully appointed. The bed was super comfortable, too. Our shower was a little slow to drain, but the staff responded to the issue quickly and with great professionalism, which we really appreciated. There’s a restaurant on site, a bar that stays open late, a gym, and a small indoor pool that can be booked for a private session. Overall, we had a wonderful stay and I would definitely stay here again."

"Lovely, spacious studios in a really lovely quiet area of York- not too far to walk into the city. We enjoyed a croissant and coffee next to the river in the morning sun- really pleasant stay. Rooms were comfortable with lovely kitchen facilities- it was so nice to be able to have somewhere to prepare food. The staff were so helpful and friendly and the foyer area stocked basic foods for breakfast and snacks - lovely stay"

"I usually stay in cheap hotels but this one was rather elegant, and even had a 13-meter pool. It’s right next door to the train station and fairly close to the Minster. Definitely recommend!"
