This is a good base in York, near the station, and walkable to the city. Also fantastic rooftop bar with view of the city. Rooms are spacious, beds comfy for a good night sleep.

We had an upgrade when we arrived it was a very lovely suite. We also booked breakfast and got a drinks voucher for 2 cocktails. It was booked for my sisters 70th birthday which was in June and she was given a glass of prosseco. A very enjoyable stay and breakfast was very nice just a bit expensive.

The property was very central. The room was a reasonable size for one night with everything you needed. The bed was comfortable and the shower was good with large towels. We were disappointed to be in an accessible room which meant the shower was a wet room and the whole area ended up quite wet once the shower was used.

Loved the huge purple chandelier in the entrance and large, spacious clean bathroom which was wonderful to take a shower. Beds were comfy too and staff very helpful in giving me a large (free) water bottle when I went in search of water in the evening.

Usual good quality stat at a Malmaison hotel. We had to make do with a twin room as it was a last minute booking, but we had excellent views into town and the Minster. The roof terrace is excellent and were used that a couple of times. We ate in Soro on our first night, and the food was truly excellent and good value. Hotel location is good as you are 5 mins to the station and 5 mins to the town centre
