Think the room are spacious and clean a mini fridge is definitely needed was just a bit unhappy about that room not serviced everyday and had to ask for toilet rolls as 3 of us in the room

Hotel was very basic for a Holiday Inn. Restaurant seemed to be breakfast only and bar didn't ever look open. (Maybe the receptionist doubles as bar staff, I don't know.) There is only one lift so queues form. There was a mountain of pigeon poop on the outside window sill of my room, which was a bit gross. Inside was clean and location was fine, but I'm sure there are much better places in York at a similar price and location.

This hotel was clean, central to everything we wanted to see. The hotel staff was helpful. The parking was close and reasonable. The only negative was only one elevator for a large place and wait times were sometimes longer than one would like, but a very small negative.

The hotel was very comfortable and in a convenient part of the city, within a short walk to the centre. Shops and bars nearby. We managed to park nearby. Bear in mind that the bar closes at 11:00 pm so if you are looking for a late evening drink, make sure you order early.
