If you're looking for a very comfortable stay in the quaint and historic town of Woodstock VT and don't worry about the expense, then the Woodstock Inn is the place for you!
Had a short stay with my family to the Woodstock Inn and would love to return some day. Hospitality at its best in a beautiful town.
The grounds and amenities were immaculate and authentic to the area. A memorable stay.
I wouldn’t run back here. It’s a nice hotel in general. The gardens are pretty. Downsides are the facility’s. Outdoor pool area is average. Looks run down. There is no onsite indoor pool, gym, sauna etc , this is over 1 mile away and also is currently under construction. Breakfast was poor for a 5 star hotel and for the price should have been included. Rooms are comfortable. I’d give it a solid 3 stars not 5
Quaint New England charm with beautifully maintained grounds. We enjoyed both the spa and the Red Rooster restaurant which were both wonderful. There was a wedding onsite one night while we were there and while beautiful, made it difficult to enjoy the outside fire and smores that evening as it was very loud. It was remarkable that you could not however hear the noise from inside the Inn. Overall I would highly recommend the Woodstock Inn resort & spa to couples, families and friend trips.
Always an Amazing time when we stay here. Property well maintained, staff is super friendly and the food here is above and beyond. Did I mention I got married here 👍👍
Wonderful historic property with warm and thoughtful staff. Even though some areas in the lobby were being refurbished, we still enjoyed the experience. Look forward to returning when the huge fireplace in the lobby is back up and operational.
Enjoyed staying at the Woodstock Inn. Great location, anything you want to see in the town of Woodstock, plus a number of great hiking trails, are walking distance. The in hotel restaurants, Red Rooster and Richardson's Tavern, are outstanding. No charge valet or easy self-parking available. The lobby is a great place to hang out, it has a great oversized fireplace and afternoons between 400 - 500 coffee and tea are available in the lobby for guests. By the entrance to the Red Rooster, there is also a basket of locally grown apples available anytime. There is a game room off the lobby, which is also a great place to go. The guest room was really comfortable, especially the mattress. So why a four star rating and not five? The in room thermostats are restricted so that a guest cannot set the fan to continuous run. This is to be expected at a lower end Marriott, but not a hotel at this price point. If you like white noise while sleeping, or don't like the HVAC cycling off and on, this is a problem. I did ask the front desk and got a response about environmental responsibility and energy conservation. For $1,300 a night plus a resort fee, a guest should be able to run the HVAC whenever they want. The lobby furniture cushions are worn and the cushions sink at a level I would compare them to college dormitory furniture. A lot of day trippers who aren't hotel guests come into the lobby, which greatly contributes to the wear. Still a great place to stay.
I stay at Woodstock Inn every December and it never disappoints. The rooms are comfortable and well-appointed, but it's hard to decide whether to enjoy the comforts of the room or sitting in front if the fire in the lobby. I look forward to the next visit.
