Families and children welcomed! Our custom built cabin is located on beautiful Black Dan Lake, between the Chequamegon-Nicolet and Flambeau River forests. Surrounded by beauty and tranquility, lots of wildlife, and 100's of miles of snowmobile and 4 wheeling trails accessible directly from the property(located on both ATV and snowmobile route), our cabin is the perfect private getaway. Our cabin is located at 5030 W Bumble Bee Rd, only 8 miles from the town of Winter for your grocery/gas/hardware needs, and only 32 miles from Hayward. With over 2000 square feet, it has central air conditioning, 3 bedrooms, a large loft area, and additional sleeping in both family and living rooms. It has a large double shower in the master bath, and additional 1/2 bath, both on the first level. There is also a second bath with shower on the second level. Both the master bedroom and living room have patio walkouts to a large deck which overlooks the lake. The lower family room also has a walkout to a screened porch/lower patio complete with furniture and a porch swing that overlooks the lake. The sleeping accommodations include: \- Master bedroom with King bed \- Bedroom with Queen bed \- Bedroom with Full bed \- Loft with Full bed and Full futon \- Full futon in family/rec room \- Twin sofa pullout in Living room Inside you will find a fully stocked kitchen, an air hockey table, board games, WIFI, two TV’s with Roku devices, and one TV with DVD player and a large library of movies. Please feel free to use your own Netflix/Amazon Prime/Hulu etc streaming accounts. A fire pit is located in the yard for your enjoyment. We have a dock with plenty of room to sit and fish off of or dive right in and take a swim. The swimming right off the dock is superb! There is sand on one side of the dock which makes getting in and out of the lake very nice. Black Dan Lake is a class A musky fishing lake, with plenty of panfish, bass, walleye, and northern pike as well. There are even a few brown trout! Also available for you to use are two kayaks, a canoe, and row boat. There is a public boat landing so feel free to bring your own motorboat. It is a great lake to swim, fish, kayak, paddle board, or just simply relax and enjoy the incredible view or fall colors! Loon calls are common, as well as occasional bald eagle sightings. A charcoal grill and utensils are provided. Consideration of our neighbors is paramount. No camping on property, events, fireworks, loud music, or parties. There is NO SMOKING allowed inside the cabin, and we do not allow pets. This unit is currently available for 3 day(minimum) rental periods, with a 4pm check-in, and 10am check-out on the day following the last evening stay. A 10% discount is included for stays of 7 days or more. NOTE: the kitchen table is much larger than what appears in the picture. We regularly seat 6 or even 8 people around the table when playing games, etc.... The home and property are very well cared for and very well furnished. While the basement rooms do have a more separated feel from the main bedroom that could matter for younger kids, the loft space is close and has a very cozy feel. It was easy to settle right in. The shoreline was very enjoyable- kids were quite comfortable wading right in from shore or jumping from the end of the dock. The shoreline in this portion of the lake is not muddy, the swimmable area is largely weed free, and the water is quite deep right off the end of the dock. Sunny fishing was excellent right off the dock. Communication with the host was excellent. Information for our stay was well organized and comprehensive. It was clear that thought and care went into preparing this home for guests, right down to the smallest details, and everything we could possibly have needed was there. The kitchen, in particular, was impressively well-stocked with cookware, bakeware, glassware, and dishware, which saved us the hassle of overpacking and let us simply enjoy ourselves. We played cribbage, ate nearly every meal out on the deck overlooking the water, and truly relaxed on the peaceful lake. Thank you! The cabin is conveniently located, and we played golf two days at Barker Lake golf course (15 minutes away) and rented a pontoon from Treeland Resort on Chippewa Flowage (20 minutes away. Everything was well stocked, supplies were easy to find, beds were comfy, and accommodations/decor were perfect! Indoor and outdoor games galore, as well as access to the water with kayaks, canoe, and paddleboat. We loved getting up early to explore the lake and even though the fishing wasn't the greatest for us, we enjoyed the quiet serenity the lakefront offered as well as the spacious yard area to play in. We were extremely satisfied with the entire process from booking to communication before we got there, to the way check in process and the cleanliness and absolute beauty of the cabin/house! I will probably never get the chance to have such an amazing week long stay anywhere else. David was a great communicator and the cabin has a wonderful story behind it. Kitchen very well stocked. Amenities galore! The lake was gorgeous! Neighbors were not really close enough to worry about but did come out the last day and hoped we had a great stay! As always, the home was clean and very well up kept. It is so peaceful. We rarely see neighbors, but when we do they are always very friendly. It’s comfortable, clean, and modern. All appliances and HVAC were in good working order. All that said, this is just a downright great lake cabin. The cabin itself is beautiful, the lake view is gorgeous, and the location is really nice. We would definitely stay again. ##### Edward M. We enjoyed the modern amenities (strong wifi, modern kitchen, a/c for hot days, good lighting, streaming tvs, etc.) while also taking advantage of everything nature had to offer from the back yard (bald eagles, river otter, great fishing, birds everywhere, lake kayak rides multiple times daily).
