Grocery stores, restaurants and coffee shops about 100 metre away. I would stay there again. The 3rd floor stairwell is a little tricky if you have mobility challenges as is the high step into the tub/ shower. Very nice 2 bedrom apartment on 2nd floor with ample parking. Literally a one minute walk to the centre of Bowness-on-Windermere - the location could not have been better: the Co-op is on your doorstep and there is a selection of great dining (do visit the Flying Pig pub and Porto restaurant!). On arrival followed instructions for parking but there was no parking space available, contacted agent who said it was a known problem was told to park in public car park that was also full. After a 5 half hour drive, you just want to relax, not go looking for parking. It means every time you go out do not expect a parking space on your return.The flat could do with a deep clean especialy the cooker and hob, do the agents ever check it? The location is ideal, the flat is small and access is via narrow concrete steps, that would not be suitable for anyone with limited mobility. The facilities within the apartment are brilliant, very clean and modern, all that was needed for our family. The beds were really comfy and the bedding provided was lovely and fresh.
