The caboose is in a perfect location for shopping and dining. The decor was precious! Hot tub was nice and relaxing. The fire pit was perfect for having a drink and kicking back. Area was nice and quiet. Being dog friendly was very nice!
Amazing place to stay with a slice of history. Not too often you get to say you stayed in a caboose. The hot tub was a nice bonus. The location was ideal. Didn’t have to worry about parking and was easily walking distance to everything. Will be coming back again!!!
Chic Caboose was exactly as described, perfect for a couple looking to simply relax. Evening in hot tub followed by sitting on patio by the gas fire pit was the end to an excellent day. Be mindful of tub it is exactly that but a fun change from normal showering.
Property was perfectly located for hanging out in Wimberley without having to drive anywhere. It's only a few steps to everything on the square and is super cute. We loved it and the only complaint was my husband not loving the lack of a real shower, but he survived!
The property was perfect. The caboose was right in town, yet felt private. It was spotless w a great porch & hot tub. We walked everywhere. It was a perfect spot & so easy to ck into. No texting back & forth the day of arrival trying to get codes. Great trip-we’d stay there again.
What a treat this caboose was to overnight in this weekend. The attention to detail in regards to guest comfort was excellent. It was cozy and perfect. Loved reading the history of the caboose & how it came to be what it is today. It is decorated so cute. The location is perfection-we walked to everything! Would highly recommend for a trip to Wimberley, we would do it again!!
The property surpassed our initial expectations. Ample room, comfy bed, nice kitchen and bath! Wonderful restaurants are only a two minute walk away. While it did become apparent the nearby construction wasn't stopping even when raining, we made the best of the situation. We would book it again in a heartbeat!
We totally enjoyed every aspect of our stay. The caboose is decked out in retro however, everything is clean and spotless. steps to downtown shopping and eating and centrally located for things such as shopping, wineries and other recreational activities. We stayed for the weekend because we were attending a Wedding Venue that was 15 minutes up the road.
My husband and I had a great experience staying in the caboose! It was perfect for the both of us! Everything inside was great and true to authenticity. Please note there is only a tub, no shower but it was a fun adventure. This location is walking distance to everything downtown.
Property is in a great location and clean. They adjoining property had construction going on every day, and it was jackhammering and breaking-up concrete. This was not just started, so I believe we should have been told this before booking and given the chance to change dates. This will be going on for several days or week, so check it out in person. The weekends should be fine.
The caboose was very clean and in the middle of town with parking. This rental really made our trip. So much thought and detail was put into this property. The bathroom has a gorgeous clawfoot tub with a water sprayer, so no shower. We enjoyed the binder showing the process of refurbishing this caboose and the historical artifacts throughout. The outside gave plenty of privacy and space to relax with a firepit and a hot tub. There is a small freezer/ fridge, the neatest kuereg, and microwave. There is not a stove, but it isn't really needed with all the food options in town. Bath towels are provided, but you will need to bring swim towels for the Blue Hole. Favorite Vrbo to date!
We loved this cute little place for our weekend stay. Everything was so close and easy to get to. Parking was so convenient. Hosts were super responsive when we had an issue with the lock - which was so nice. Only advice would be to bring wine glasses if you want to have wine and a sleep mask to block out the light from the AC. It will keep a light sleeper awake!
The Caboose was so cute and has everything we needed. I do wish there had been some drawers or shelves for clothes and some under the sink shelves for toiletries, but we made it work. Comfy bed, cute breakfast nook, great patio, hot tub felt great after a long day walking around. Loved all the railroad themed decorations! Would definitely stay here again.
Staying here is amazing, but it is an adventure. Quarters are definitely close and need just a little adjusting to. If you’ve ever done a weekend getaway in a travel trailer, you’ll do just fine. It’s a caboose in a very public downtown. Expect lots of unexpected visitors trying to get into the room.
