Just a short drive away is the historic downtown and riverfront area of Wilmington. Here you will find cobblestone streets filled with a variety of shops and restaurants. One of the most interesting sites to visit and the pride and joy of Wilmington is the USS North Carolina - the World War II battleship that played an integral role in the Pacific Theatre. The dishwasher didn't really work and there was no mattress topper on the sleeper sofa so it was a little uncomfortable. Overall we enjoyed our stay. ##### Steve M. It was quaint, clean, with beautiful landscaping and pool view from the balcony. A short 1 minute walk to sand in your toes. FYI - the beach is nearby and those with 4 wheel drive is ideal. The closest portions in early February were closed off due to erosion. This was not our focus & was beyond the control of hosts, but others may want to check/ be aware with seasons. Overall we were thrilled with our stay. ##### Chris K.
