They did provide a space heater as this was the only means of heat. It worked ok. Breakfast should say coffee and a small muffin. The room was unbelievably cold! Even with the space heater they gave us we had wear winter coats and hats inside the room. The bathroom was so cold we did not dare take a shower. There was an air conditioner unit in the window for “heat”. I was offered a space heater if it was too cold. If I used the space heater I wasn’t allowed to use anything else. If I wanted to use the microwave or hair dryer I had to turn the a/c, heater off. Apparently this has been this way for some time. Was told to keep the bathroom door shut. When I had to go to the bathroom it was freezing cold in there. The room was clean. It's an older property from the 1950s, with that "early American" look that so many places in Williamsburg styled after during that era. I am sure it was a mom-and-pop at one time. Because they've kept much of the original retro styling, there are some rough spots where it could use some refurbishing. But, I found it clean, comfy, safe, and very close to the historic district. Very inexpensive and just fine for my needs.
