Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Cookeville by IHG
6/10 Okay
"Bathroom could’ve been cleaner, seemed to be a film on mirror & faucet. Seat in handicap shower was torn.
Discolored or stain on solid white comforter.
A/C was out in main common areas, lobby and dining room all weekend (Fri, Sat, & Sun)."
"The pool was closed when we got there. The hotel is undergoing some enhancements however the floor we stayed on smelled like urine. The floors were so dirty in our room, my kids feet were completely black with dirt after walking around for a few minutes. Staff was friendly enough but I wouldn’t stay again."
"Everything was clean and comfortable, the staff was friendly and helpful. I was there for a week and completely lost, and they all had helpful advice on things to do and places to go. The room itself was comfortable enough for both working from home and relaxing"
"We had a wonderful stay at the "Country" cabin (the third one on the side). The inside of the cabin was exactly as pictured on the site—very clean, quaint, and comfortable. It is located close to the owner’s residence, and sitting outside on the deck listening to the birds chirp was beautiful and relaxing. The Perfect Location for WaterfallsThis cabin was the perfect base camp for our waterfall adventures. We were able to easily visit:Twin FallsGreat FallsPiney FallsFall Creek FallsLost Creek FallsCrane Creek FallsBurgess Falls / Cummins Falls (about an hour away)Food NearbyWe found some great local spots during our trips:Renea's Kitchen At Midway (excellent for a meal near the cabin)Lazy Cow Creamery (perfect for ice cream)Gio's Pizzeria in Cookeville (a great stop when visiting Cummins Falls)A Few Things to NoteWhile we loved our stay, there are a couple of things to keep in mind. When all the cabins are fully booked, you are positioned very close to the neighboring cabin, which takes away a little bit of the privacy and peacefulness when sitting on the deck. Also, a local woodpecker acted as our early morning alarm clock!Overall, it’s a beautiful, clean place to stay if you looking to explore the nearby falls."
