« Great location for Saltburn & Whitby, lovely, quiet village. Sunday lunch was delicious, big portions, very good value for money. Would highly recommend. The room was clean & very comfortable with fantastic views. The bed was very comfy too. The staff were all very friendly and attentative. Will definitely visit again.

« What a great find, lovely friendly pub with rooms. Room was spotless as the whole premises. Couldn't fault the evening meal or the breakfast ( probably the best we have had for some time. We will definitely revisit. »

« The hotel was clean and the room itself was large, which I appreciated. However, the furniture was very limited — just one small chair and a desk, with only a tiny bedside shelf. The room really needs at least a proper case stand or luggage rack to make it more practical for guests.
I was also given one of the furthest rooms from reception despite the hotel clearly not being full, which felt unnecessary and inconvenient but often seems to be the case when booking through Expedia. »

« In spite of some very lovely staff, this hotel is in an appalling state and desperately need of a facelift. Water damage on the walls, peeling paint, leaking toilets, a broken shower and windows that haven’t been cleaned in years. The owners need to spend a lot of money on this establishment that must have been spectacular in the past, as neither it or the staff deserve it being left in this state. »
