« A great place to stay in Birchwood with friends and family. The place was clean and had everything that we needed to make us feel at home. The host was friendly, helpful, and accommodating at every point during the booking process. The only issue we came across was the slightly confusing access road...perhaps additional signage would help clarify direction toward the property a bit better. Otherwise, no complaints! « This was our third visit. We have gotten pretty good at dealing with the heating issues. Cold (41 degrees when we arrived) in the lower level and hot on the top 2 floors. This time we had a new challenge. We had to limit our water usage due to the septic system being frozen. I appreciated the extra effort the owner made to have the holding tank pumped rather than cancel our reservation, but it was stressful not knowing if each toilet flush might be the one that maxed out our 1000-gallon...

« Our family of seven stayed at Deerpath Lodge for nine days. The property is well cared for and clean. The owners give guidance on how to care for their place so it stays in a well kept condition and also have informative signs to indicate where things are kept. « We were 7 business colleagues/friends, so having 7 bedrooms was essential. The group meeting space exceeded our expectations. The open plan was full of light and with a lake view for our large group discussions and meals. The layout of the shared spaces easily allowed of smaller groups to do different activities at the same time, e.g., cooking, games, conversation.
