We apologize you found your stay unsatisfactory. When we asked you at check out, "How was your stay?" you did not say anything but fine, but then you write a horrid review... If you found ants and if you smelled smoke, (which we did not find either after your departure), then you report it, you tell us, and give us a chance to offer you another room or some other amends - while you are staying here. All cars in our monitored parking lot belong to paying guests, and our simple grab n' go breakfast has 100% real orange juice and we provide wrapped muffins for your health and safety. The pool is ready to open, it's just way, way too cold. It's an outdoor pool, and summer weather has not begun yet. Again, sorry your expectations were not met.

Yes, we are. Built in 1961 as a Travelodge, and been an EconoLodge and Rodeway Inn in the past. We are now The Downtown Inn, an independent and family owned operation, recently updated, with all modern conveniences. We offer clean and comfortable accommodations at affordable prices. You stayed with us over 3 months ago, and just now decided your stay was poor. It would be prudent when giving a low score and bad review to explain as to why the property deserved such a low rating. Additionally, with no explanation, how are we supposed to improve if you don't tell us what made your experience unsatisfactory. We strive hard to please our guests with a clean and comfortable guest room delivered with exceptional guest service, and a review like this is not the least bit helpful.

Thank you for posting a review. We are sorry we did not meet your expectations, as it upsets us dearly whenever any guest leaves unsatisfied. We have limited space, as you pointed out, and we offer just a quick grab n go breakfast, consisting of bran muffins, sweet rolls, fresh fruit, granola bars, and oatmeal... along with fresh coffee, tea and 100% orange juice. We were completely full with families enjoying the holiday festivities, and we tried our best to manage noise levels. Our motel was built with solid cinder block construction and noise complaints are rare, however we apologize you felt it was still disturbing. We hope you may come visit again and give us another chance to serve you in the future.

We believe it is important to tell the truth when leaving reviews and not just revengeful because you did not receive a refund for changing your plans. The window does lock, your room was clean, we did find a smudge mark on a pillowcase, one, not everywhere, and we do apologize for missing that. The newer laminate floor was swept and mopped with a swisher, and we apologize it was not perfect. We provide a quick grab n' go breakfast in our lobby, where every hotel-motel serves breakfast. And we do provide quality individually packages muffins, and we serve 100% orange juice that all the other guests love. Sorry it was unsatisfactory for you.

We have since reeled Emily back in and took control of Housekeeping, and keeping her on her toes... We have seen some end of the month holiday action return. Mission Ridge Ski Resort, Leavenworth, a few holiday conventions and groups are coming to the area, and we expect a decent December! And we are really looking forward to our New Orleans vacation.
