Very, very clean. Amazing extras. It is fairly close to local restaurants and local shopping. The kitchen had enough knives, plates, cookware, etc to make the stay comfortable. We didn't have to pick up anything except the foods we wanted to have available.If you want to watch tv on any channel other than roku, make sure you know your passwords for netflix, prime, or hulu. We appreciated having 4 smart TVs, one in each room, a foosball table, and office space upstairs. As we stayed over Christmas and New Year's, the owner even put up a nicely decorated Christmas tree in the living room! The owner was very responsive throughout the booking process, prior to and during our stay. During our 9 day stay, we explored the area, visiting Staunton (charming town with cute stores and cafes), Charlottesville (Monticello and Highland presidential estates, Trump Winery, Carter Mountain Orchard, UVA campus), Richmond (VFMA, Maymont, Agecroft), Roanoke (Taubman art museum, Mill Mountain Zoo), Natural Bridge, Lexington, Grand Caverns, and a few hikes. It would also make for a great base for exploring the mountain scenery of Skyline Drive and Blue Ridge Parkway, both only a few miles from the house, though they were closed during our stay due to "snow and ice". We highly recommend this house as a nice, comfortable base for exploring an area full of natural, historic, and cultural attractions. ##### Vladimir R.
