Now with stairs to the water! Nestled on a private mountain top overlooking Pickwick lake. This cottage was recently completely remodeled and offers the most relaxing stay. This property has beautiful lake views and its secluded spot on the lake, right across from bear creek, will be the perfect lake getaway for a couple or a small family. We have just added stairs down to the water! We also added a dock and a gazebo with amazing views. The hosts were extremely helpful before we arrived, they answered questions swiftly and gave great recommendations. The view takes your breath away and I got up every morning to watch the sunrise and listen to the wildlife, it was very special and made leaving today very difficult. What a super cute little cottage. Perfect for the two of us but there would have been room for the kids too. We wanted something quiet - and it was. Gorgeous sunrises and sunsets. A little sketch getting down that gravel drive on the motorcycle is my only thing negative that I can say. Would def recommend. The cabin was perfect for us two, and our small family gathering. The stairs to the water were a bit more than we expected, but there is a small deck halfway up perfect for a quick rest. The website gave us the wrong address initially, which set us back a bit, but with some prompt communication with the host, it was remedied and we were on our way. Waterloo is a small quiet town, so be prepared to entertain yourself with movies and games as well as evening talks as you gaze out across the moonlit Tennessee River. Enjoy coffee to a beautiful sunrise! Lots of nature trails near by. Be prepared with groceries because stores are nearly 30 minutes one way.
