All the charm of Capitol Hill and proximity to DC's dynamic H Street corridor, this lovely basement retreat is the perfect place to stay for business or pleasure.
The space
We love our 100+ year old townhome and recently renovated it for your utmost comfort. Fresh minimalist decor creates a relaxing urban oasis. Morning light streams through the windows and washes the comfortable lounge chair, providing a cozy perch to read a good book with a fresh cup of coffee (provided). A small breakfast table provides the perfect spot for enjoying a quick bite, knocking out some work or playing games. The sleek modern kitchenette is equipped with a mini-fridge, microwave, toaster oven, electric induction cooktop, kettle, drip coffee maker (and supplies), Nespresso Vertuo coffee maker (please bring your own Nespresso Vertuo pods if you'd like to use it), flatware, mugs, plates, cups and basic cooking supplies. The bright full bathroom is stocked with shampoo, conditioner, body wash, a hairdryer, q-tips and cotton rounds for your convenience. A stacked washer and dryer, iron and ironing board are also provided for your use. The studio is equipped with fast WiFi and a smart TV (with cable channels provided through YouTube TV) for your entertainment/viewing pleasure.

Family Friendly: Minimal furnishings and decor provide for a family-friendly stay. A high-chair and pack-n-play are provided for your use (please bring your own sheets). The laundry room is a great place to put the pack-n-play if having a separate space for your little one is desired. We simply ask that you put the pack-n-play (place mattress and frame in the bag) and high chair away (wipe off and collapse) in the laundry room before you leave if they are used. 🙏
Guest access
Guest Access: Located off a shared entrance, a key pad is provided for your convenient and easy access to the building and your private suite. There is half a flight of stairs up to the main entrance from the street and then a flight of stairs inside the unit that provide access to your basement retreat.
Other things to note
This beautiful, multi-unit urban townhome is shared with your host and other guests. Sounds of life from the adjacent unit and above may be noticeable during your stay (including creaky floors, running water, and/or an occasional conversation) but few guests find this disruptive.
