Come stay at a piece of historic Wasaga, built in the 1920's as The Lashbrooks, a semi-famous fishing retreat regularly attracting guests from all over North America. Simple one bedroom cottage, queen bed, with air-conditioning, kitchenette, Wi-Fi, cable TV/streaming and flat screen, individual BBQ, communal fire pit and free parking (one car per cottage) on site. Non-working kettle and can opener were replaced quickly. There is no oven or stovetop, just a microwave and barbecue - that's a big learning curve for me since I'm not familiar with either one. The site has a wonderful fire pit for socializing and everyone seemed friendly. Few steps to Beach 3 and a quick drive (or long walk) to Beach 1\. It's a great location and the cottage has everything you could need. It was clean and didn't smell musty at all. One thing to be noted was the bed was extremely uncomfortable, to the point I ended up sleeping on the floor. I let the owner know and he told me it was a super soft bed and that it was a matter of preference. He said he can't please everybody. I have backpacked all through Central and South America and I can assure you I've slept in some bad beds over the years, but this was the worst.
