« Such a great place for a couple to spend the weekend. Peaceful and quiet. Close enough to everything but doesn’t feel like you are. Very interesting story behind the history of the property. Kurt was very nice and full of cool imformation. We will definitely be returning. »

« Great environment, and Hiram is a very friendly host. Our family of 4 has stayed at the "bridge cottage" (unit "109" out of 8 (?)) for 2 nights, in a very relaxing place (forest/pond/pool). We were looking for a place to rest between big cities' craziness and the cottage was a perfect fit. Wifi was terrible though, barely functional. As long as you don't mind an overall rustic/shabby feel, you'll probably have as good a time here as we did. Worth noting, Hiram answered all our questions really...

« We had a wonderful stay at the cottage. It was comfortable and thoughtfully equipped wit everything a traveler needs. Their local recommendations were also on-point. Our stay was enriched by getting to know Eleanor and Kurt and learning about the history of the colony and their family. Try to get Eleanor to talk about her New York stage career and listen to one of the songs on the 6 foot-tall disc playing music box. Great stay! »

« The cottage was super clean and very well equipped. We were a group of six and it was comfortable for everyone. We stayed with 2 nine year old and they loved it! »

« It’s a nice house but was not a comfortable stay. Absolutely no hot water so we couldn’t shower. Air conditioning would not run. The hot tub and games were nice to keep busy, but could be more privacy even with curtains. Listing says there is an outdoor fire pit, but there is not. »
