When we arrived the room wasn’t what we thought we had booked - a triple bed family room, but they were concerned and helpful and found another room which was better for us. The place was peaceful and relatively basic ditto the breakfast, and very good position. It was very hot so good to sit in the shady garden with a stunning view over the fields to Corfe Castle one way and Swanage the other.

Beautiful hotel with stunning views across to Corfe castle. Sadly we only stayed the one night as a stopover as my son had a tank crew experience up the road in Bovington, but I would have happily spent the week here. We had two single rooms, both of which were immaculate with comfy beds and plenty of space. The bathroom was spotless and well equipped We didn't eat in the restaurant in the evening as we took a walk to the local pub, but we did have breakfast which was delicious with lots of different things to choose from and top quality produce. There's a bus stop directly outside with fairly regular buses which run between Swanage and Poole, so getting around without a car is easy. I really wish we'd had longer here as it's such a beautiful area and if visiting this part of Dorset again, I won't hesitate in staying here
