Weekend Ski getaway
We enjoyed this cozy and spacious ‘suite’. Much more room than a hotel - spacious bathroom, dinette area, and bedroom. Very clean! Walked to Waitsfield for dinner via wooden pedestrian bridge. Owners very responsive and helpful. Would stay again!

Clean vrbo - nice place
The vrbo was great. The door to enter is on the left side of the house and go up the stairs right when you walk in. Once upstairs there is a little breakfast area outside of the bedroom, a large bathroom and the bedroom with two beds, tv and couch. The space was a little larger than I expected. It was great. As a heads up this is walkable to the restaurant “peasant” but need to make reservations well in advance on weekends (I’d assume a couple weeks). I would definitely recommend this vrbo and would stay there again.

Such a beautiful place to stay!
I can’t say enough good things! It was a beautiful farmhouse with easy access to the village. It was very clean and as described and the tub was wonderful! They provided some coffee and tea and they have a microwave, fridge and toaster to make some quick meals if needed. I met Rachel outside in passing and she was very nice and responsive during my stay. Such a cozy classic Vermont feeling space! Felt very safe as a solo female traveler here!

Farmhouse charm
Our stay at Rachel's farmhouse was everything that we expected and more. The property is in a beautiful location, steps away from a charming wood bridge, local shops and small eateries in Waitsfield. It backs against beautiful Mad River with a walking path nearby. There is easy access to Sugarbush, Mt. Ellen and Mad River Glen ski areas. Free shuttle is at the end of the street. However, if you want to explore the area more, it's best to have a car. We didn't actually meet the owners but Rachel communicated very clearly before and during our stay and we knew how to contact her if anything came up. She left the loveliest treats outside our door for Valentine's Day. If you're looking for a low key vacation in a picturesque Vermont setting that is not over-touristy, this is the place to be. We'll be back.

Cozy and charming farmhouse retreat.
Rachel’s place was a delightful getaway for my daughter and I. The bed and bathtub were especially luxurious and allowed us to relax into Vermont country life for the weekend. We would definitely stay there again. Thank you Rachel!

Very Nice and so happy I found this place !
My daughter and I had a wonderful weekend at this property . We arrived late due to traffic and at 9:00 pm after a 61/2 hour trip I was tired and it was so nice upon my arrival to have the owner come out to let me know I was parking in the right space and if there was anything I need to let them know . The place was very clean and the bed was super comfortable and wonderful linens . Very spacious and the owners were always available to answer my questions . The location was also perfect . Thank you so much ! (a great bath tub as well) !!

Long weekend
Quaint little room on old farmhouse. Heads up to those tall travelers, the shower does not accommodate well. My husband who is 6’1 was able to look over the top and found it difficult to rinse with the hand held sprayer. Overall the room was clean, but I did find numerous pet and/or human hair on the floor in the bathroom and in the tub. The room was quiet warm despite it being cooler outside, needed to utilize the a/c which was a little noisy. Close to town and fit the bill for our short stay.

Rachel’s cozy “apartment” was a charming place to stay for the weekend! It is so comfortable and convenient to everything in the Mad River Valley! Just steps from the river itself and the covered bridge in Waitsfield. We loved our stay!

This was a fantastic getaway for me and my husband. Super quiet and cozy, walking distance to a few shops and just a short drive to some great local restaurants. The soaking tub was also a fun treat to take our relaxation to the next level! Would definitely stay again.

I love a good soaking tub and big bed like a cloud and this place hits the mark. The interior has lovely detail showing its history ~ I especially loved the wood floors. The tub has some mild peeling of the porcelain from water pooling and needs attention to not worsen the damage. Waitsfield is a great town with everything you could want in a Vermont vacation, though I wished the road the house is on had less traffic, that it was a more private setup in general. Excellent, friendly hosts ~ they shoveled my car out when we awoke to lots of heavy snow on my departure date :) Thanks for a great mini getaway!

My husband and I had a wonderful experience staying for the weekend in this charming farmhouse. The house is sitting in a picturesque small town in the middle of mad river valley. Love the covered bridge right next to the property. 10 Minute drive to Sugarbush ski resort. We will definitely return.

We had a very nice stay at Rachael’s Place for a couple days skiing. It is perfectly located with cool stores and take out restaurants nearby, not to mention Mt Ellen and Lincoln Peak. It’s a cozy little hideaway!

My review
My stay was very nice and my host couldn't have been more helpful. The one thing that would have made my stay a bit better would be a super small kitchen in the unit. There is a microwave, coffee maker and mini fridge in the unit, but a little sink and stove-top would have been perfect. Especially in the Covid era, I didn't want to rely only on take out food. The bed was the most comfortable think I have ever slept on!

We stayed here on our skiing trip to Sugarbush. Rachel was an excellent host - very accessible and responsive via text. The apartment was clean and comfortable. The bath tub was a treat! Though it’s worth noting that there’s no real shower, just a shower head attached in the tub. Wasn’t a problem for us though. All around great experience. We would certainly go back!

Stayed for two nights. It was really quaint inside the furnishing and style was nice. Was able to see the sun when waking up. Location is nice because the there's a few place to go to eat if you want to walk or take a scenic drive to a restaurant you could. All in all good experience. Defiantly would stay there again.

The sweetest suite!
We stayed in Rachel’s sweet suite for a few days. It was perfect! Coffee & breakfast at the drop leaf table- perfect for the two of us! Walking distance to shops and lunch spots, and Rachel was the perfect hostess! She took care of our every need! The bed was luxurious and so comfortable with blackout roller shades at each window so that we could really sleep in. It was such a lovely, comfortable stay! We would certainly book it again!

Really enjoyed the property and the details in the room were very nice. A few things were a bummer: the creamer for the coffee curdled (old?), the internet was not consistent so couldn’t watch a movie with my sister, and the bed sheets were pretty coarse- maybe just line dried but they could stand to upgrade to a nicer set. Overall a good experience.

Wonderful place to stay - with hospitable, extremely thoughtful owners
We spent 3 nights (not enough!) in this charming, extremely clean, and very spacious suite, located in a beautiful farmhouse, next (but separate from) the main house. Rachel is the perfect host, always attentive, available (by phone/text), very thoughtful, and ready to lend a helping hand. She promptly answered all our questions and provided an extra bed and an extra chair (for our 21 yrs. old daughter). Everything in this quaint suite was perfect for us -- the rustic atmosphere, the spacious bedroom, the walk-in closets, the relaxing bathtub (with a view!), and last but not least, Rachel's thoughtfulness and attention to details which can be noticed everywhere and made our stay even more enjoyable. We will definitely return as soon as possible!

My husband and I had a lovely stay at Rachel's farmhouse. The space is even better than pictured. Very spacious, comfortable bed, and everything we needed for the long weekend (mini fridge, coffee maker, toaster, microwave, some snacks). Easy, no contact check-in. Easy walk to town with restaurants and brewery. Would stay here again in a hear beat!

Totally enchanted professional couple from Boston!
My partner and I stayed a few nights here during our hiking trip to Green Mountain National Forest. The house is beautiful--rustic and yet super clean and renovated all at once. We especially loved the hardwood floors and doors, the big romantic bathroom with a gabled ceiling, and the big bedroom. Rachel was really responsive when we had a question about our late-evening arrival. We loved seeing the chickens and cat (named Ash) roaming the grounds. My only regret is that we couldn't stay more than a few days, because it seems like there is just so much to explore around Waitsfield. If you're looking for a nice/clean, quiet, charming, and authentic/historic place to stay, this might be just the place for you.
