The room we stayed in was ñot very nive, the bathroom wasn't even a metre wide, the door was all cracked and wouldn't shut. The evening meal was really good and excellent value for money. There was one woman on reception who had to do everything, the other staff turned to her for everything.

Great location. 5-minute free shuttle to entrance to Petra. Located on the mountain. Great views awesome patio - always a breeze. Breakfast and dinner offered. Rooms are what you would expect for a budget traveller but adequate. AC costs 3JD more than quoted rates. We were okay with that. Great value. Well run. Very helpful. Highly recommend this one. Be sure and try the hummus!

Simple and practical hostel close to Petra.
The Valentine Inn is a super basic hotel for those wanting a place to stay before, after or during a visit to Petra. The hotel is simple and popular with backpackers, though there were families (ours included) and older couples too. Evening food was available at a good price with barbeque and Jordanian salads served in a buffet format. One of the staff also played some Oud and sang during the dinner time, which was nice. The rooms aren't huge, and there are not a lot of sockets in the rooms, but it was comfortable for the purpose, and inexpensive. We brought our own travel cot for our young child, assuming (correctly) that they didn't have one available. Hot water is only available between 0500-0800 and 1700-2000, so be prepared for a couple shower! Wifi only really availalbe in the common areas downstairs. Paying for the rooms is cash only, so be ready with money. Breakfast was a simple Jordanian style spread of bread, cheese, labneh, hummus and vegetables, with tea and coffee available. There is a shuttle at 0700 and 0800 to the entrance to Petra, with pick ups in the evening too (the walk is a couple of km). Overall, the stay was pleasant and hassle free, but this is a basic hotel/hostel to crash at relatively close to Petra.

Great evening buffet
Food in the evenings was great lots of variety and quantity accompanied by Bedouin whiskey (tea). Good free shuttle down to Petra . Great place to meet and chat with other travellers.

Not a pleasant 2 night stay in late March
The room desperately needed refurbishment, there was mould on some areas of the walls, the tv was not working and it was cold. I asked a total of 3 times before I finally got some heat in the room only to find the electrical supply had been disconnected from the unit the next morning. There was no hot water at all during my 2 night stay. A women in the next room complained only to be told by an unapologetic manager to let the water run for 10 mins. This did not make any difference. The only positives are the comfort of the bed and the breakfast / dinner. I personally would not recommend staying here, at a push it would be for 1 night maximum and at a warmer time of year (not late March). From speaking with other fellow tourists there are nicer hotels to stay in the area at around the same price.

FREEEEEEEEEEZING COLD After an entire day in the desert we arrived to the Inn which had no heating and no hot water. We found out about it only after dinner and when we complained at the reception, they said that the heating is 3JD extra while the hot water is available only until 8pm which they forgot to inform us about at the arrival.

Old building. Basic facilities.
It's freezing in the room especially after the central heating is shut up in the evening. I was waked up by the coldness and only have to ask for a extra blanket for the second night (fortunately they didn't ask money for the extra blanket). The owner charge 5JD extra for the A/C remote control. You are not allowed to do laundry in the room and ask you to do laundry for 3JD/kg. Room is old and basic. You need to pay extra for breakfast 4JD, lunch box 3JD and supper 7JD. The supper is an open buffet and looks good with a lot of choices for vegetables and meat although we didn't eat there. WIFI is only available at lobby. The good thing is that they have free shuttle to the visitor centre at 7am and 8am and pickup at 4pm and 5pm. And the location is quite convenient. After going down the slopes, you can find bunches of restaurants, groceries, banks, atms, snack shops.

We spent one night at Valentine Inn that was eventually NYE. They had very nice dinner for a reasonable price. They also served complimentary cake and drinks. They had free shuttle to and from Petra and also free luggage storage. The room was ok, however we did not have hot water unfortunately.

Hotel provides free shuttle to/from Petra and Bus Station. Breakfast, lunch and buffet dinner are available for additional fee. Only one or two power outlets in the room, so you have to choose between fan, fridge, or charging your devices. No wifi in the rooms. No heat in the rooms, even though it's clearly stated that rooms have heat when you make reservation at Expedia.

There is a wonderful veranda space that overlooks the city. We spent a lot of time here and really enjoyed it. The WiFi was fast and relaxing in this outdoor space was extremely pleasant. The hotel does a nightly meal which was affordable and of good quality. The rooms, by contrast, were cramped and dingy. For the price, perhaps you shouldn't expect much more but this is the kind of place where you want your own sheet.

This hostel is located in Wadi Musa, about a 20 minute uphill walk from the entrance to Petra. Upon arrival it seemed that they did not have my reservation information, but they gave me a double room with en suite bathroom even though I had reserved a single with shared bathroom. The room was large and comfortable, although old. But given the price, no complaints. Staff were friendly and spoke good English, and helped in booking the bus to Wadi Rum which I took the morning I checked out. Overall: highly recommended for the budget traveler.

Decent hotel for a short stay
Stayed here 2 nights. Shuttles to and from Petra are a plus as it’s a 20 min walk. BBQ Buffet meal was delicious and wide selection but pricey at 10 JD. Staff who are nice didn’t seem to be treated very nicely by owner though, and staff can still be seen sleeping on the common room floor during breakfast hours (they work onsite and don’t have their own rooms). Didn’t arrange the Wadi Rum bus for 7 JD or Wadi Rum tour and overnight stay for 35 JD with them. So can’t comment on that. It’s an ok budget hotel for 1 or 2 nights

super friendly stuff, easy check in, free parking, they offer buffet dinner for a little charge with a great selections of salads. Ideal for a one night stay in Petra, make sure you let them know if you plan to do late check in, they almost sold our room, our room didn't have hot water... :(

THEY DIDN'T LET MY GUIDE CHECK IN
I reserved a room for a night for my guide who was driving from Amman to meet us in the mornng at our Petra camp. Upon check in at 9pm, he was told that Expedia only reserved the room and he has to pay cash. I told my guide to pay for it and I shall reimburse him in the morning. Then the hotel clark informed that there are no rooms avalavle because check in time ends at 7pm!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have NEVER IN MY LIFE HEARD ANYWHERE THAT HOTEL CHEK IN TIME ENDS AT 7PM. I don't think Expedia should offer this type of hotels/facilities to travellers. They should maintain a minimum standard. My guide later told me that he was not going to be comfortable staying at a place like that because of the condition and atmosphere.

We loved that a shuttle was provided to petra. I did not like that the first shuttle is not when petra opens. As tourist we want to experience petra with the least amount of people possible . Nice comfortable hotel, great food, amazing staff
This has been of the best hotel experiences I have ever had. The dinner was very tasty (only 5 JD), but most importantly the staff was amazing. My car had a flat tire the morning of check-out and the staff called around to find us a mechanic, helped us pump the tire up and then went with us to the garage and helped us translate and made sure we got a fair price. We were on our way quickly and I can't stress how greateful I am for the help, it really saved our holiday! Can't recommend this place highly enough!

Just right for our budget and needs
Our en-suite double room was basic, but definitely value for money, there was a fridge in the room also. The hotel offers free shuttle bus to/from Petra - 7 and 8AM to Petra, 5 and 6PM from Petra to hotel. A tasty 5JD buffet dinner offers a lovely selection. We’re so tired after walking around in Petra all day and it was so nice to be just driven back to the hotel, rest a bit, and be fed! Just remember you need to book and pay for your dinner in advance. Really nice open-air terrace with fantastic view. The air was so cool in the evening, we just sat, relaxed and enjoyed the view. We didn't get wifi in our room, but that was never an issue as we got connection in the terrace. We also booked a 35JD Wadi Rum jeep tour (dinner, breakfast and accommodation included) with the hotel and everything turned out well. Probably the location of our room, but it was so hot in the evening (late July) even with the window open I could not sleep very well (no A/C). They have a fan, but makes really loud noise. Also, just to let you know, that you're not allowed to flush the toilet paper (put in the bin). Overall, however, Valentine inn was just right for our budget and needs. Really good value for money and we enjoyed our stay.

Me and my friend came to Valentine Inn hotel to visit Petra. After arriving we didn't have really a nice welcoming and the stuff behavior didn't change untill we left. The conditions of the hotel are not the best but because of the cheap price it was okay. You have a nice Place outside where you can stay and meet very nice people. We don't recommend the breakfast but dinner is very nice and the price is okay. All in all I wouldn't go there again because the hotel only because of the people you meet there.

Booking never honored (1st come 1st serve)
Although I mentioned in my booking that I will be arriving late and called the front desk on the day of to confirm we're on our way and it will be awhile before we arrive... they still gave away our 3 rooms and instead offered 3 grown men one room the size of a jail cell nearly for the same price as the 3 rooms!!!

Great for the money!
The hotel location is perched on a hill and super scenic! They have a great patio where you can get on wifi, have a drink and take in the views. The dinner they served each night was AMAZING and very affordable. The hotel is stocked with alcohol and shisha for you to enjoy. As the rest of Jordan, the alcohol is expensive. The room was fine for the money. The carpet was worn, it was a bit chilly with no heat, the towels were stained, and the bathroom was super small. You also can't put toilet paper in the toilet.

W pokoju dwuosobowym warunki dobre ale łazienka bardzo ciasna i cieknący kran choć proszą,żeby oszczędzać wodę. Warto zamówić obiad o 19.00, kosztuje 7 JOD - duży wybór dań i wszystko bardzo smaczne. Wifi tylko w pomieszczeniu ogólnodostępnym ale za to bardzo dobry sygnał i kontakty do ładowania są w dużej ilości. Mają własny parking. Bus do Petry z hotelu.

事前払いしていたのに再度請求された。Expediaに確認の術がなく、結局日本にLINE電話をして確認してもらった。英語ができなければちょっと戸惑うかもしれない。エクスペディアにはこのようなことがないよう対応してもらいたい。ホテルは冷蔵庫が断線しているなど、改善点もあるが、食事がとても美味しく、ペトラ遺跡への送り迎えや有料ではあるがランチボックスを準備してくれるなど、安いわりにはおすすめである。くれぐれも現地払いが適当です。

Personalen var trevlig som gjorde en tidig incheckning. Vi övernattade inte och åkte tillbaka till Amman efter att ha besökt Petra. Rummet var trångt och hade utsikt till luftkonditionering från byggnad intill. Om man inte bryr sig om övernattning är det ok men inte värd för pengarna:(

We have booked for two nights. They first gave us a room still under renovation. We asked for another room but the lady at the reception (maybe the owner, not sure) simply said no other room available and ignored us. At night we talked to another guy who seemed to be another owner. He was more helpful and asked the lady we talked to earlier to come to our room with me, to see what my compliant was. I didn't understand why she needed to take a look of the room as surely she knew what the problem was. She finally agreed to change our room the next day. Without the request of the guy, this lady won't accommodate our needs at all. We didn't get any compensation for staying in such a unsatisfied for the first night. Secondly, two ladies at the reception (including the one mentioned above) were not really patient nor sincere. English is not our mother tongue and their accent was a bit strong that sometimes we might not be able to understand of what they said. In such case, we would try to clarify with them, and the lady would say something like "I have told you already. What's your problem?" Very bad services and impression. Can't understand why they could let their guests stay in such a room with a normal price. Why they didn't mention it in the booking? Also, there should be mini bar and free bottles of water as said in our booking. But we had nothing at all. Kinda cheating. For the first night, we had a dirty chair but no table, no hangers at all.

가장 좋았던것은 와디무사에서 페트라까지 편히갈수 있다 안좋은점을 말하자면 나는 3월에 숙박했는데 방이 엄청춥다. 난방시설을 쓰려면 5디나르를 추가적으로 내야한다. 그리고 샤워후에 물이 잘 빠지지 않는다.

Bien y sin lujos.
Un hotel bueno en general si no esperas lujos. Muy sencillo. La ducha tenía el agua caliente con muy buena presión (aunque recomiendo que sea corta por la falta de agua en Jordania). Lo mejor pagar por la cena. Por 7 dinares fue increíblemente buena. Transporte gratuito desde la parada de autobuses y a Petra para ir y volver.

São desonestos.
São desonestos e tentam sempre tirar algum a mais dos turistas. Na minha reserva constava quarto com ar condicionado. Ao chegar queriam me conbrar mais 4 jod por dia pelo controle do ar. Argumentei e disse que estava incluso na minha reserva. Mostrei no App que constava expressamente ar e controle do ar e quando eles viram que estava incluso disseram que não iam me dar o controle e que se eu quisesse poderia reclamar com o hotéis.com. Enfim, não vale a pena. O quarto era sujo, o banheiro vaza água para todo lado e fedia esgoto.

Had to move elsewhere after only one night. :-(
Unfortunately I got room at the top floor which was still under construction, which meant no Wi-Fi and above all roughly 13° in the room (december). They let me pay an extra fee for air conditioning which did not help much, my wife still had to sleep in winter jacket. We moved to another hotel straight in the morning.
