  • This spacious holiday home is in the traditional Cornish village of Little Petherick, just 3.5 miles from Padstow. The property sleeps seven guests - making it perfect for family get-togethers and holidays with friends - and has a sociable, open-plan layout. As well as countryside walks from your front door, you’ll be just 4 miles from the North Cornwall coast, with its dramatic scenery and a myriad of hidden beaches and coves to explore.

The lodge has a reverse-level layout, making the most of the far-reaching views. On the ground floor you’ll find two relaxing bedrooms, one of which has an en-suite shower room. The family bathroom is also on this level. Upstairs, discover an impressive lounge/kitchen/diner, with a wood-clad, vaulted ceiling and floor-to-ceiling windows looking out onto open countryside. This sociable space has a dining table to seat everyone and a choice of comfortable seating for relaxing on after a day of exploring. There is also a football table in this space. The stylish kitchen area is a joy to cook in, with all the equipment needed to cater for the group. An inviting twin bedroom completes this floor. From the lounge, glass doors open onto a stunning balcony overlooking open fields – the ideal spot for al fresco entertaining in the sunshine. There’s also an open garden to the rear of the property, where children can play. There is also lots of space in the very handy garage for storing of bikes and surfboards etc which is accessed internally.

Little Petherick is surrounded by countryside and a plethora of walking trails. From Little Petherick Creek, you can follow the water to join The Camel Trail to Padstow or Wadebridge. The long-distance Saint’s Way also passes through the village. The harbour town of Padstow is 3.5 miles away and has a superb collection of cosy pubs and high-end eateries. The area is known for its picture-postcard, sandy beaches, including the much-loved bays of Trevone and Harlyn (both within 4 miles).

Peaceful Hideaway

Beautiful cottage in a peaceful location. Very homely and easy to live in. Doggy loved the balcony. Ideal access to some wonderful coastline. Fabulous service when I broke my ankle on the last night of stay.... slid awkwardly down grassy bank in front of cottage. My partner and doggy were able to stay 3 more days while I recovered in hospital (needed surgery!). No fuss, no bother. All in all a fantastic relief not needing to move as well. Many many thanks. Sorry, forgot to leave review in the visitor book... Would love to return... but be more careful next time!
