Come enjoy this cozy and comforting space after an exciting day exploring Waco’s Bear Country. Location is everything! We are just about one a mile to Baylor University. Three blocks to Magnolia. Six blocks to the new sport complex (Foster Pavillion). 1.5 miles from McLane Stadium which some of our guest that stay in this building walk to the games. We are also next door to Fable Bookstore and Cafe. Fable and the Behrens Lofts are actually a conjoining building. Our condo is located on South Fourth Street & Mary St in downtown Waco, Texas. The Behrens Lofts now occupies what was once known as the Behrens Drug Company building. The structure was completed in 1913, and was headquarters for the Behrens Drug Company. The building was constructed as a fire-proof, concrete structure with emphasis on ample working space and employee safety. As testament to its significance in Waco history, Behrens survived the 1953 Waco tornado with little damage. In 1990 the fifth, sixth and seventh floors were added as the building was converted to loft living spaces. Guest will have access to the entire condo except for one locked closet. Long term stays are welcome. STR000859-08-2022 Other things to note A ramp at the back of the building makes for easy access and there are two elevators inside the building. The Coffee Machine is a Keurig Duo & we do provide pods, sweeteners, and creamer for your stay. The living room has Smart TV with streaming apps. Families - we do have a pack 'n play. This is a downtown location. Occasionally you will hear the train two blocks away and other noises associated with a downtown area. Once entering the condo, there is a flight of stairs that leads to the bedroom, bath, kitchen and living area. The laundry room is downstairs. Everything from the location, the reserved parking and the safety ans convenience of the area was top notch! We were within of walking distance to restaurants, museum and marketplace. Due to the heat, we drove a block over but were able to find parking. The check in was simple and the rental company stayed in contact to ensure that everything was up to standards. My husband and I stayed at the Bear Den while visiting our son and going to a Baylor football game. We loved everything about the loft. The location is so convenient for walking to restaurants and shops and the buses to McClane Stadium from the Chamber of Commerce are a block away. It’s so convenient to have a reserved parking space too! We called to see if we could check in early and the woman I spoke to was so nice and helpful. We arrived at the loft and the building is so cool! The Bear Den was spotless and the owners really have thought of everything to make sure it’s comfortable. The Bedroom is quiet and the bed is comfortable. We slept so well and had everything we needed and a perfect amount of space. I enjoyed going to Fabled next door and we walked to breakfast one morning at the Olive Branch. We absolutely would love to stay there again / every time we come to Waco! It literally sounds like someone threw a glass bottle on the wall and then water running for 45 seconds….over and over. The walls are thin enough to hear all the neighbors music and conversations. Séjour de 2 nuits en octobre 2023 ### 10/10 – Excellent #### Jason P., Charlotte, US 7 oct. 2023 Points forts : Propreté #### Good nase camp for a weekend in Waco for Baylor football. The loft was clean and is good for two people. Great location and very clean property. Nice to have a parking spot,but the lot was full of large vehicles which made getting out difficult at times. There are not many windows so overall natural light is limited and the ceilings are pretty low. ##### Jason P.
