Step into the world of Chip and Joanna Gaines and experience the ultimate Waco getaway at The Giraffe House - the charming three-bedroom abode featured on HGTV's Fixer Upper Season 4, Episode 15\. This delightful home is the perfect retreat for anyone looking for a one-of-a-kind stay just minutes away from downtown Waco and all the Magnolia and Baylor hotspots. Waco Vacation Rentals manages the property and is available to respond to any questions you have about the property or the check in process. You will be emailed a digital welcome LINK with area information 7 days before your stay, complete with popular places to see, favorite restaurants and things to do in Waco. On the day of your arrival, you will receive a TEXT message and an EMAIL with access information at 1:00 pm Central Time for your vacation rental. This is self check in property at 3 p.m or after. The entire house and yard is for your enjoyment during your stay. The playground featured on the show for the kids, grill, table for your outdoor enjoyment. This house has a shared driveway with house to the left. Plenty of parking to the right towards garage. Please pull forward and do not block driveway at any time. Lounge on the inviting front porch swing, or head to the spacious backyard for a relaxing retreat. The open living room boasts stunning herringbone flooring salvaged from the bakery, while the pantry doors were a magnificent find from the garage renovation. The fully equipped kitchen is ready for anything, while the upstairs bathroom is a true masterpiece with a wooden beam and rock from the house's exterior. And if you need a quiet spot to unwind, the upstairs office/reading nook is the perfect place to kick back and relax. While most of the homes featured on the show are chosen by couples looking for a new place to call home, this particular property received some special attention from Chip and Jo. The couple purchased it as an investment property before completely envisioning and remodeling the home. Car is recommended. Uber is available. While the home was originally celebrated on the show for its uniqueness from their other properties, it still features the signature Chip and Jo style that we all know and love. The Giraffe House exudes a cozy cottage vibe with modern upgrades and eclectic touches that will make you feel right at home. PLEASE NOTE: Please note that the Master Bedroom, bathroom, and office area are accessible via steep stairs, so they may not be suitable for all guests. The upstairs office adjacent to the Master bedroom and bath has padded seats and may be suitable for a child to sleep. It was 5 mins in any direction to several great Magnolia landmarks - Magnolia Table (we ate here forBreakfast and dinner and both were amazing.) we visited the Castle Chip and Jo fixed up, Hotel 1928, and of course the beautiful Silos! All were so close. Our kids were 7 & 11 and loved Cameron Park zoo. Also the play set in the garden made their stay - they were on it every day. The Giraffe House was a beautiful home to stay at for our visit to Magnolia Market. This was a bucket list for my mom. We had a girls’ trip and we loved it. Waco Tours taught us so much about Waco and where we should visit. We loved dating in a home from Fixer Upper and done by Chip and Joanna. One the day of arrival, I received specific instructions on how to access the house. We arrived and got into the house without any issues & we loved it! Very cozy bungalow size home with 3 bedrooms to choose from. House was clean and a notebook with check-in & checkout instructions, along with lots of recommendations for eating & shopping in Waco was left out for us. The rental contact stayed in touch throughout our stay to be sure we were doing alright, and I knew I could contact them if we needed anything. Really appreciated their accessibility. The house is very comfortable, but the upstairs bedroom does stay a bit warmer than the rest of the house. I do think they could add some hangars to the closets, and some towel hooks in the bathrooms, but otherwise this is a great place to stay! Highly recommend and we cannot wait to revisit someday! ##### Angie W. The house is in a convenient location and worked well for our family. Our granddaughters loved playing with the toys, and on the swings and slide in the backyard. A pack and play was available, which was super helpful. It would have been great to have a highchair, too. There was plenty of space in the kitchen and dining area. ##### Linda H. Toddler age kids loved the backyard and house was kid friendly too. Would recommend to anyone but in particular those with young children. The location is not awesome but we chose based on that is was the Giraffe House. It is still not far or difficult to get to what/where you want. Management was helpful and easy to communicate with. They could use a little more sitting space in the living room and the front bedroom bed squeaks/creaks each time you move. Those where the only challenges... ##### Laurie L. Had our kids with us and definitely wouldn’t have gone walking but immediate neighbors were fine. There was a stray cat on porch that was clearly being fed on porch and kept trying to come in house. Kids playground in the back was awesome. Dirty sock on the dresser in our room when we arrived. Lots of options for opening wine but nothing for making tea. Coffee wasn’t good. Some of the finishes felt cheaply done for as much effort as was clearly put into the home. The bedding was all polyester instead of cotton, pillows were not comfortable but beds were great. Last detail- we booked a week before travel at which time we requested a late checkout so our kids could get a nap before departure. I didn’t get a response until the day before our departure (because I asked a second time) and they denied it since they had new guests arriving.
