The first problem is the very large, very slow Prison Gate to get in. It is, in a word, disturbing. Second, my room door rattled the entire time. It seemed, if anything happened in the hallway, the door would rattle like someone was trying to get in. Like an air pressure problem coupled with a poorly made door. And this went on all night. Kept me up. Then, I never got a receipt. I get not printing to save paper, but it wasn't even emailed. Nothing.

Very nice hotel conveniently located near Eindhoven. Room was clean. spacious, with amenities, nice seating and comfortable bed. Work space was limited due to curved cut making it transition from adequate to very narrow. Lots of security. Have to use key card to operate the elevator, to open the hallway door as well as your room door. The place is like a fortress with a fence surrounding the property. You cannot walk onto the lot as the walkway gate is locked. The gate to the parking lot is a challenge. The stanchion with the button is not reachable from your car meaning you have to get out and walk to press the button. The gate is closed at night and you must wait for the staff to release the gate. Overall a nice stay and I recommended this hotel.

A decent hotel experience close to the HTC.
It's very difficult and inconvenient to figure out how to get into the hotel. You need to hit a button in the center of the car gate, your card will not open the gate door. It's a hotel not a fortress, this was needlessly complex and made an otherwise pleasant stay a little bit frustrating. You shouldn't have to interact with a human being just to get close to the hotel. The beds were soft and comfortable, but wobbly in a way that you can easily fall off when you're sitting on them. They could have bought a better bed frame.

somber en dingen stuk in de kamer
Kamer erg somber door wand vullende foto van mensen van veel mensen die niet fijn kijken en van zo'n 50- jaar geleden. Niet uitnodigend en geen gast beleving. Bedlampje stuk, afstandsbediening tv mist batterij. bij de receptie hoorde ik dat de bedlampjes al langer een probleem zijn en de medewerker beaamde de sombereheid van de kamer.

1. Hotel staff would not refund me after I gave several days notice that I would be checking out early. 2. Hotel restaurant is closed on weekends, so limited food available, if any. 3. No onsite laundry facilities. Stay at the PULLMAN Hotel instead. Much cleaner, more convenient and located in a much better area of town.

Did not like the bed the mattress moved of the bed the cups were not in plastic, the shower floor was slick and corners sharp. Staff was not very inviting. Towels were very rough and smelled of chemicals.

Overnight stay on journey across Europe
Nice comfortable hotel. Bit disappointed after a long day to find the restaurant closed and receptionist did not know of anything nearby. We actually found two within 5-10 minutes walk!

The Bastion was a fantastic hotel. It has lots of free parking, a small gym and a fridge in the room. It is a huge hotel room with a great shower, the biggest we have ever seen in Europe. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will stay there again when we go to Graspop Metal Meeting next year;)

Excellent hotel on nearly all counts
Excellent hotel and very well placed for Eindhoven and the airport. The food in the restaurant was very good. The room was spacious, clean and well-appointed. My only criticism is the lack of a double bed. All the rooms seem to have only 2 larger-than-normal single beds.

Really comfortable beds, and great shower. Good value for money. When we moved the bed, we found a lot of dirt underneath, balloons, confetti etc. From previous guests. Apart from that it was a nice room for the price paid.
