This private home offers all the comforts of home in a beautiful, unique setting sure to relax and inspire you. This charming home is equipped with a queen-sized bed and en-suite bathroom in each of the two identical bedrooms, located at opposite ends of the house for maximum privacy. For families traveling with small children, there is a pack and play crib for your convenience. The house is joined in the center by a large luminous living and dining area with gas fireplace, books, cable television, free high-speed wifi and laptop friendly workspace. The full kitchen is equipped with a dishwasher, gas stove, coffee maker, microwave, toaster, and everything else you might need to leisurely prepare meals at home. There are patio chairs on the covered deck to the front of the house, as well as a covered carport to the back. The water is filtered through a Renai on demand system with both cloth, charcoal and UV filters, making it safe to drink and delicious! We explored the Hilo side from here for a few days. Place is well situated for visiting National Park. We went to see eruption multiple times in a day. Two full bathrooms in mirrored split plan home. Our bed was very comfortable and bedroom is carpeted which was nice during chilly mornings. We would recommend a stay. This is not a fancy high end accommodation. It is clean, comfy and homey. This place is a true gem. Quiet and secluded it was the perfect place for us. It was our first time traveling long distance without kids. I loved being able to go outside at night and just look up and see all the stars so clearly. While we are on this side of the island, we spent some time at the volcano, walking the trails and then some of it down in Hilo. Depending on where you’re coming from just make sure you stop and get groceries before you get there. Otherwise there’s a market not too far from there in the village. We chose this cottage as it was nearby and convenient for us. The home was clean and neat and had everything we needed. We did call the property manager once during our stay - the battery in the smoke detector died and needed replacement. It happened very late in the afternoon and we didn't want to deal with a beeping smoke detector all night. It didn't take long for Dwayne to arrive and replace the battery. He didn't seem at all upset for the late call. Thank you, Dwayne! We would recommend this property if you are looking to stay close to the National Park or if you just want a nice, quiet and comfy place for a get-away. Be aware this is located in rain forest so very humid and frequent rain/drizzle. Kitchen has basics but due to humidity spices need pounding to use. If you plan to cook, cookware is well-used and not non-stick. Cable tv has very limited channels. We chose to stream on a laptop and brought a Bluetooth speaker. We loved our stay at this cute bungalow near Kilauea Volcano. It had a sweet mountain cabin feel with all the amenities you’d need. The grounds are well kept and nice for a short early morning stroll. The bungalow is a 5 min drive away from Volcano visitor center too! ##### Sachin G. It was clean, comfortable, ample towels and bedding/blankets. Every room had night lights and switches were clearly labeled. Perfect for two couples, matching en-suite bedrooms.
