Because we didn’t have a vehicle we hired a taxi to help us find a special grave site and to the Canadian memorial and museum. It is a place that stirs up emotions but is beautifully kept and the people were friendly.

Day 1: Leaving at 09h00 towards Tyne Cot Military Cemetery and Memorial. Going to Crest Farm Memorial in Passendale and visiting “Passendale 1917 Museum” in Zonnebeke. Lunch. Visit at Hooge Crater, Hill 62 Sanctuary Wood, Mount Sorrel and the Brooding soldier.
You will visit the Sir John Monash Center in Villers Bretonneux, the Australian Memorial, The Victoria School and Pozières in the Somme. In Flanders you will attend the Last Post service at the Menin Gate, stand at Hill 60 seeing the Caterpillar crater, visit Polygoon Wood and Tyne Cot Cemetery in Passendale.

Nice small town not too far from hiways and close to alot of WW1 sites.
