Toprak is a family hotel and well located in the center of Van , very suitable for reaching any destination and buses. The staff are very respectful and fluent in English and they are so helpful. The owner is very familiar with the area so he will suggest places that are less known . Overall I enjoyed my stay .

This hotel was exceptionally good.! It was very clean and a very good location. The manger made my stay so welcome helped me with trips I wanted to do and was so very helpful with other things that I requested! This without a doubt one of the best places I stayed in Turkey Highly recommend staying here for a visit in Van. Jeff🇨🇦

The breakfast was okay but not great. You get a boiled egg, and Turkish breakfast with tea and fruit drink. I always welcome it when breakfast is included.

Dirty Stay

The breakfast was awful, the smell of the toilet was intolerable and everything dirty! We just wanted to finish those days and come back home! The people in the checkin were friendly though!

Excellent value for money! After a couple of weeks on crappy mattresses, the beds were particularly nice. The owner and staff are personable and helpful. We prefer to make our way with public transport, but the owner is very kind in arranging tours for any who wish.

Helpful

Young man on reception spoke English and arranged day trip to Hakkari for me as the bus left from a Best Van office not the bus station though I did see an unmarked bus going to Hakkari from there. Buses leave at 09.00 and 12.00 in the morning plus a few other times to Dogubayazit(Mt Ararat) from the small bus station adjacent to the main bus station.

Great value for money

The personnel was very nice and friendly. While waiting for check in we were offered free tea. Due to COVID pandemic we weren't allowed to eat in a restaurant, so they offer a great delivery service directly to the rooms. Heating works great, which is important if you come to Van lake in winter. Rooms are spacious and clean. Center of Van is not too far away. I would recommend Toprak hotel to anyone who visits the beautiful Van lake

fantastic accommodation in the city center

Thank you, Harun, for the warm welcome and room upgrade. I appreciate your team's effort to spray/disinfect my luggage during check-in. Frontdesk team, especially to Bayram, keep up the great work. My room was clean; and the hotel is relatively new. If I could a make suggestion for improvement, it would be to please increase the heating in the room to make it warm enough.

VAN City- Winter

Dear All i write some point from my experience on winter stay: - hotel is in downtown and you have access to all stores and malls - hotel dont have air conditioner (for summer traveler) - check the rate by other hotels and specially on TL currency. -For Iranian Traveler its better to change on border NOT in Van city. - staff are charming but cant speak English.

Terrible Experience – Not Recommended I booked this hotel because it advertised heating, but the room was extremely cold, and I got sick after the first night. The breakfast was terrible and practically inedible. One of the receptionists was very rude and unhelpful, although the hotel owner was much more respectful. I checked out after just one night, but they refused to refund me for the remaining nights. Very disappointing experience!
