The best area to stay in Valkov is directly along the shores of the Domaša reservoir, particularly around the Dobrá and Nová Kelča sections.

These areas are the main centres for visitors, offering direct access to the reservoir's beaches and water activities. You'll find most of the guesthouses, hotels, and restaurants concentrated here, with many properties offering views of the water. The general layout is linear, stretching along the shoreline, making it easy to access different points of interest by walking or a short drive.

For families, Dobrá is an excellent choice. It's known for its organised beaches, shallower waters suitable for younger swimmers, and facilities like playgrounds and mini-golf. The area provides a relaxed setting where children can enjoy the outdoors, and parents can unwind with easily accessible amenities.

Couples looking for a more tranquil experience might prefer Nová Kelča. This section of the reservoir tends to be a bit quieter, with some guesthouses offering more secluded settings and direct access to less crowded parts of the beach.
