"Hice mi reserva por expedía y no encontraban mi booking cuando llegué al retiro. Me hicieron esperar 2 horas antes de darme una habitación inferior a la que yo ya había pagado por anticipado por este medio. La habitación estaba sucia y al siguiente día pedi ver las habitaciones superiores y elegí hacer un upgrade. La nueva habitación estaba sucia y era más cara."

"The staff were brilliant especially at the front desk reception and at the resturants. Other hotels got to learn about hospitality from them. The hotel is less worried about tips but more for the quality of service which is unlikely in most hotels of today. "
"The hotel is beautiful and surrounded by nature and hills. It was a mesmerizing with scenery nature. Over all we had so much fun and lot of beautiful captures around the environment. People over here are very calm and respectful. It’s good to go to relax from the busy life.

"This is an out of the way, rugged and basic property. No pool. But they had a trampoline and a tree swing for the kids. Very quiet. Beautiful views of Lantang region. Note: you need a 4-wheel-drive vehicle with high clearance to get there. The last kilometer or so is unpaved, bumpy, muddy, and narrow. Parking is in a small dirt lot with a gate that is locked at night."
"I booked my stay at serene resort online, approximately 4-5 days in advance, using an online travel company. I called approximately one hour before arriving at the hotel for my scheduled stay and the manager told me he canceled my reservation. The manager had very limited Ability to communicate in English. I arrived to the resort only to discover the manager refused to rent me a room and said he canceled my reservation. He then sent me to another hotel where I had to pay for a room. The next hotel was horrible. No tv, no air conditioning, bed had torn sheets, the kitchen was so dirty and tourist had loud music playing.
After checking the travel website online, I realized the reservation was never canceled and the money had been paid to the hotel. I called the hotel, serene resort, to have a refund and the manager refused and said he canceled my reservation. I contacted expedia.com Who stated they are unable to speak with the property directly and cannot dispute the charges. I have disputed the charge directly with my credit card company.
Lesson learned… If you were traveling to Nepal, do not schedule anything online. This includes excursions, hotels, and other amenities throughout the city. Travel directly to the location or speak with somebody directly. Online services are obviously lacking. Amenities know you are a short traveler and have no problem taking your money and waiting for you to leave the country with little to no recourse. DO NOT book at this resort! "
