What is the best area to stay in Usellus?
The best area to stay in Usellus is within the main village itself, particularly around the central piazza.

This area offers a convenient base for exploring the region. The village is small and easily walkable, with a few local shops and eateries concentrated near the piazza. It's a quiet, traditional Sardinian village, offering a glimpse into local life away from the more bustling coastal resorts.

Couples looking for a tranquil escape will find Usellus appealing. It's an excellent spot for those who enjoy picturesque countryside, local cuisine, and a slower pace.
When is the best time to go to Usellus?
For most visitors, the best time to go to Usellus is during the spring (April to June) and autumn (September to October) months.

You'll find the countryside lush and green in spring, and the autumn brings a lovely golden hue to the landscape.

Couples seeking a peaceful retreat will particularly appreciate these shoulder seasons. The area is less crowded than during the peak summer months, allowing for a more relaxed experience when visiting local vineyards or hiking in the surrounding Marmilla region. It's great for enjoying quiet evenings and leisurely exploration.

Families might also find these times suitable, especially if they plan on outdoor activities like visiting the Giara di Gesturi to see the wild horses.
