Welcome to Tarwarri Tiny! The ultimate farm stay NSW getaway where you can escape the mundane routines of urban life and immerse yourself in the slow country atmosphere of the Queanbeyan-Palerang Region. Perched on an elevated location with views of the Yanununbayan Nation Park to the east and the Tindery Range to the south.
A small 15-acre farmland in Urila Valley with stunning mountain vistas, panoramic sunrises, and free-range hens to keep you company.
The Space:
Tarwarri Tiny is a lovely tiny house in the Queanbeyan-Palerang Region of Urila, just 51 minutes drive away from the nearest accommodation in Canberra. Nearby Mount Ainslie Lookout, National Arboretum Canberra, and Googong Dam. And, if you're up for some fresh seafood and waves, Batesman Bay is just 2 hours away.
Recently, we have planted around 150 fruit and nut trees, including many cider apple trees that will be used to produce apple cider in the future. If it is in season, guests are welcome to pick their own fruit from the orchard, consisting of apple, apricot, peach, nectarine, mulberry, hazelnut, and cherry trees.
A comfortable accommodation with easy access to water, split air conditioning, a kitchenette, cooking equipment, and excellent bathroom facilities. The bathroom follows ecologically sustainable principles, including a waterless eco-friendly compost toilet, hand basin, and shower (gas heated for hot showers).

IMPORTANT NOTE: Please take note that this tiny house is an off-grid unit that runs on solar energy. We advise guests to conserve energy during the day and only use it when necessary. Overall, minimal consumption is advised to prevent power outages when using solar power.
Guest Access:
Guests will have access to the tiny house and its surrounding areas, except the land host's private residence.
NOTICE TO ALL GUESTS: Fire permission will be granted at the discretion of the host. Due to our elevated location, it is sometimes difficult to have a safe fire, even when a total ban is not in effect/active.

We recommend guests to travel by private vehicle as there are no public transportations available to the property.

- No unregistered guests or visitors are allowed
- We have a friendly Marremma Sheepdog on the property
- Please bring your own firewood or purchase them from the host by prior notice
- Please note that we have chickens that cocka-doodle-doodle-doo in the morning
- We would like to advise guests that longer stays or later check-outs will incur an additional charge
Safety guidelines
- Keep an eye out for snakes as the property is located in bushland (or grassland) areas
- Given the rural setting, children are welcome under CLOSE ADULT SUPERVISION and must not be left unattended
- Guests are advised to wear close toed shoes, preferably sneakers or boots, and long loose pants to avoid snakes bites
- We ask guests to follow the safety guidelines discussed with their land hosts for their safety and convenience during their stay
Important note:
- Guests are advised to bring portable power banks in case of low power
- Guests are also advised to save energy to avoid running out of electricity
- Please charge your phone and electronics in advance in case of low-light days
- Due to the nature of the property, abundant wildlife may be present on the property
- Keep in mind that BBQ grills and outdoor fire pits are not available during a total fire ban
- In order to maintain the cleanliness and functionality of our compost toilets a minimum additional cleaning fee is applied for stays of 5 nights or more. We appreciate your cooperation in ensuring a hygienic experience during your stay.
