Only problems I had overall were maintaince going on during my stay (landscaping and some light building work), and some parts of the building are showing their age (especially in the onsen and lobby areas). next room loud i can hear kids screaming at 1 am. also on going construction in front. sauna water is so little, sauna is so old and so cold. toilet is so cold. my ass frozen. i made reservation 3 months ago but they did not say ‘dinner is not available’. had to look for local restaurant for 1 hour. luckly we found local restaurant. if not, i could have eaten at 7/11 store. been to many japanese ryokan and hotel. this is the worst local motel with nothing around. this is tourist trap motel in middle of nowhere. nothing traditional about it. i rather drive 1 hour to kumamoto stay in
