Love the neighbourhood where it is located. The rooms can be quite hot during summer. They are small, with four beds and carpet.
Staff advised not to go out walking in the area after dark
My luggage was still in Paris and they kindly provided me with a free toothbrush and toothpaste to collect at reception in the morning. Thoughtful.
A quick one night stay in Joburg on business found me at the quirky SQL on 44. The hotel is relatively new and is housed in an old converted factory and as such its not your regular hotel. I arrived late and left early the next day so didnt have a lot of time to explore the hotel amenities. Breakfast ...
Beautiful guest house. Secluded, would be wonderful for quiet get away. Beautiful garden. Nice touches like daily fruit dish. No phone provided in room. Must have own cell phone. Need personal transportation. Not a walkable area. Uber can be good option here and through out Jo'burg.
I liked nothing about the place, they were used condoms in the bin disgusting and other things, no towels when we checked in and we were given wet, lousy excuse sorry the towels didn’t dry properly...shiii place i wouldn’t recommend it to anyone. Regards Very unhappy guest.
Its proximity to Milpark Hospital makes it convenient for visiting
First the good: staff were incredibly friendly as a helpful, the hotel restaurant and bar served good food, and the location is hard to beat in Braamfontein (other than noise from the bars downstairs and next door). I was in a king superior room. The room was much more rundown than pictures online ...
Staff were superb. Possibly the best and most pleasant I’ve ever encountered. Can’t speak highly enough of them. Hotel was very well appointed; grounds and layout were idiosyncratic but none the worse for it. Food was good. Only tiny gripe - pool area and pool itself both a little small.
