This was the worst place we stayed in Queensland, many fixtures broken and they'd even taken lightbulbs out to save on electricity, the air conditioning unit was noisy and took a very long time to cool the room. We booked a King room for two adults and a child, when we booked it said rollaway beds were available. However, when we got there, there was only a King bed even though we'd booked and paid for two adults and a child. Spoke to Expedia who said they should provide for that many people, and fought very hard to get the motel owners to refund the booking on arrival. But the owners wouldn't budge, very tight fisted, terrible service and overall the place was a dive. The only positive I can think of us the high water pressure in the shower, but this is because it has fixtures from the 80s, and based on the money grubbing owners, it's because they don't want to replace anything. We had to cram three of us in one bed.Every other place for the same price was fantastic, I suspect some reviews are fake and made up. This place should be a 1 out of 10 and comparable to third world accommodations. Absolutely Terrible! Room stank of bleach but bathroom dirty & mouldy ceiling. No hand towel. very basic room cobbled together with old & well used cupboards & furniture … one top sheet on the bed no doona & a couple of old blankets that we didn’t want to touch in the wardrobe (put our clothes back in the car as it smelt) Jim bean can under the chair outside to welcome us! Went to see if I could change rooms but the guy said that they only had a ‘basic’ room left … what was this then? People chatted outside practically the whole night! I booked my stay over 3 months prior to arriving and after driving 1200klm I found that they had cancelled my booking through Wotif even though I was assured that NO CONFIRMATION was required. There was actually something large happening in Tweed Heads as we checked 11 other facilities and they were all fully booked. The staff offered NO assistance at all and made out that we hadn't booked but I showed them my Wotif confirmation and all he said was - I have no booking. Wotif should drop this property off your list as it is your reputation that is now shattered as I am going to complain to everyone I can as we ended up sleeping in our car for a night and at 67 and 63, that was not a wonderful experience. ##### Steve Séjour de 2 nuits en décembre 2023 ### 4/10 – Médiocre #### Pam 28 août 2023 Points faibles : Propreté, état et installations de l’hébergement Very run down Shower dribbled out Handbasin chipped Blanket had cigarette holes Under bed dusty and grubby with tissues and old drink bottle Outside to get downstairs old mops hanging off stair rails and backyard untidy Only way to wash dishes was in handbasin Location handy to Tweed mall shops and clubs and eateries Lady in reception seemed very nice and friendly We only stayed 2 nights in interim waiting for our accomodation in Rainbow Beach to be vacated which incidently was only $30 pn dearer and wow …. Some examples are: broken lock on balcony door, no fly wire on this door; no fan in bathroom; no light in bathroom to afford make up application; plug in bathroom had mould on its underside. Points faibles : Service et personnel Whilst the place was appropriate for the price, maintenance was lacking (light switches, curtains, TV remote). I was there two nights and there was no room servicing. I don't expect new sheets but there was no tidying, bathroom cleaning, bin emptying or tea/coffee/soap replenishing. You know, those things that would take only 10 minutes a room.
