The customer service at this property is top notch. I received communication from management prior to arriving and was pleasantly greeted by Jacqueline who went above and beyond to make me feel welcome. The pictures do not do this place justice, the high ceilings beautiful architecture and amazing views are breathtaking. Continental breakfast is a must my friends and I enjoyed the honey jam every single morning. Nitzy was wonderful and attentive when my friend wasnt feeling well she made sure breakfast was sent to her room and she followed up with her to make sure she had everything she needed. Transportation is everywhere you will not miss a taxi. Tago exceeded my expectations in every way. We took advantage of their gym and sauna which was clean and had everything we needed. The beach is well maintained and there is staff everywhere to make sure you have everything you need. This will be my go to property for my future Tulum visits. The evening treats were cute and tasty! The room was huge and had every amenity you could think of! Thank you Tago for being so amazing to myself and my friends! This was truly VIP treatment!

The reviews are correct for this hotel. Everything is awesome…everything except the prices. Tulum is not a cheap place and this hotel is one of the most expensive. The only thing I would not do again is dealing with customer service to get a cab. Their price was with 100$ more for both ways, take from the airport Jungle taxi is better. . Overall the property is really gorgeous, nice people we would go again there.

The best place I ever stayed in! It was breathtakingly beautiful and the customer service was impeccable! I recently had the pleasure of staying at the delightful Tago hotel in Tulum, and it truly exceeded my expectations. From the moment I stepped foot inside, I was greeted with warmth and hospitality that made me feel right at home. The dessert treats provided during my stay were a delightful surprise, adding an extra touch of sweetness to my experience. It's these thoughtful gestures that truly set Tago apart from other hotels. The accommodations were impeccable, with spacious and tastefully decorated rooms that provided the perfect sanctuary after a day of exploring the beautiful surroundings of Tulum. The attention to detail was evident throughout, and every aspect of my stay was carefully curated to ensure maximum comfort and enjoyment. The staff at Tago were incredibly friendly and accommodating, always going above and beyond to ensure that my needs were met and that I had everything I needed for a memorable stay. The hotel room is beautiful, large, and private. Having our own pool on our balcony was amazing with beautiful views every morning. The staff was so kind and helpful (especially Jacob, Letty, and Darwin). We will definitely only be staying here in Tulum in the future

Honestly, the property is very nice. We stayed in the ocean front room (they have 4 of these). Its a boutique hotel like most of Tulum hotels are. Before we arrived, we were asked to pay in full (this was done about 3-4 days before arriving. Upon arrival, they req. the tax be prepaid and a $400 deposit for incidentals. We complied. Later that day, they stated it had been cancelled and they wanted to charge another $400 we declined as the charge was still on cc app. For 3 of the 4 days we were there we have countless managers come to us at the beach, ambushed in the lobby about the $400. We did not appreciate this harassment and stated this to them. We owed $107 upon departure, they wanted us to sign a letter stating how good their cust serv was and that we were fully satisfied with our stay. Again, its a nice hotel, but shady behavior which is why I gave it a 3 start. We declined to sign the letter.

Tago Tulum has some of the most beautiful and well-constructed hotel rooms I've stayed in. We loved the double shower, the king bed, the soak pool, and the small details from the service team like evening treats left in the room, daily room cleaning, and "good morning/goodnight" stamped in the sand of the room entry. Air conditioning worked great we were never hot in the room. Hot water in the shower never ran out. Things we would have liked to have known: there is a small refrigerator which you can use - you just had to clear out the minibar items and put them back in upon leaving. They have sunscreen bottles at the beach (probably left from previous guests but they let you use it). This area of Tulum is not the most beautiful to walk (there's lots of traffic and pricey dining options anywhere you go), but staying in the hotel was the best place to be.

For $800-500 US per night, this place was NOT a good value for the money. This hotel bills itself as a luxury hotel but "luxury" is aspirational, at best. I feel ripped off & will not return. Good: •Friendly, helpful staff •Beautiful ocean front room •Pretty beach-- soft sand, uncrowded, well maintained •Each night, they left a little taste of dessert & some nights, they turned down your bed • Nespresso machine in the room • Nice toiletries • Fluffy robes Bad: •Ridiculously overpriced food/drinks (same over the Tulum Hotel Zone)-- $24 for a glass of Mexican wine, $30 for a cocktail. •Inconsistent housekeeping. Every day, something was missing (eg, hand towels, Nespresso pods, beach towels). The patio table was not wiped once while we were there. • No price list for the mini bar. We had to ask, and yes, everything was insanely overpriced • Front sliding doors stuck (room 14). An older person or someone with a bad back would have been injured opening it. • Bed was very saggy & soft. • You need an engineering degree to figure out the lighting panel Other: Entire Tulum Hotel Zone is a huge rip off. It's so overpriced and blatantly manipulative to tourists. Check your bills. There's no sidewalk in this zone. Walking to restaurants at night is dangerous. Bring FLAT shoes. Get better, less expensive meals in Tulum center. DO NOT TAKE TAXIS. They try to charge your $30-40 to go 2 miles to Tulum center. Get out of sight of taxis and hail a collectivo to town ($1.50-$2)

The hotel was nice but our room was amazing, it felt like we were on the beach. It was a beautiful room with an amazing front view of the ocean. The service was great, however the food was very expensive and not very good. I would say this hotel needs improvement on the food quality and taste considering the price pount. We ended up going to other restaurants in Tulum which were great!

We found Tago to be very clean, comfortable and welcoming. The staff made us feel very much at home. We enjoyed the beautiful grounds, cozy room, comfortable bed, and valet parking. We took advantage of the many restaurants within walking distance each evening. The slippers were a nice touch on the tile floors. Be aware when tipping that service charges are automatically applied when ordering food/beverages at the hotel.

We had a great stay at Tago. The rooms are very comfortable, amazing showers. The plunge pool can be a bit cold, but you’re steps away from the ocean. Very walkable, via the beach, to many beach clubs. We’d choose this hotel again.

Overall, this was an amazing stay. Room was immaculate with picturesque views of the ocean. Beach club was quaint and semi private. Great if you don’t want a lot of people sharing that space. Great time to relax on beach and feel like you may be the only one there. The dinner service is just ok. I would recommend some of the great restaurants that are nearby unless you are committed to partaking of TAGO’s menu only. Their cocktails were very tasty as well. I would give feedback on the wait time to check in. Not a deal breaker at all, but I arrived an hour before check in and was not able to check in for an 1hr 1/2 later. Only 30 min after time technically. But sitting in lobby after 2 1/2 hr drive to Tulum from Cancun, made me want to immediately refresh and relax in my room. Strict no late check out policy. While I went ATVing early morning of checkout, the staff kindly held my belongings and offered me the spa showers if I needed to use once returned since already checked out. Overall 9/10. Great experience. I would definitely return.

Overall good experience however staff needs a bit more training. Breakfast was below mediocre. Better not to offer such mediocre breakfast. They didn’t not bring all items included as part of the continental breakfast. Our roof was leaking due to rain.

La propiedad como tal me gusto, la limpieza, la comida lo mismo en el desayuno que en la cena, eran exquisitas, los tragos excelentes y el personal muy atento y educado. Mi única recomendación es que el agua en las piscinas de las habitaciones no tienen para regular la temperatura y estaba heladas, al punto que apenas pudimos disfrutar de ella. Algo mas que halle un poco excesivo fue un cargo de $250 en el check out porque yo tengo el cabello rojo y al lavarme la cabeza las toallas se ensuciaban de rojo, al igual que el forro de la almohada, sin embargo esto con solo lavarlas se cae, no se manchan.

We just returned from our honeymoon and couldn’t be more impressed! We were looking for somewhere that would be our quiet honeymoon spot and we found it in Tago. When we arrived we were treated like the only guests on the grounds. Noah welcomes us with welcome drinks and gave us a superb tour of the grounds, leading to our room. Our room had a fabulous view of the ocean and a swimmable pool on the balcony. Our bed was extremely comfortable and romantic. Very clean and large two shower head shower. Vaulted grass ceilings making the room feel like it’s own hut rather than hotel. Betty at the front desk was amazing setting us up with scooter renter which we look to the cenotes and tulum ruins. Bicycles which we rode into town. Betty felt like my mom away from home. Always making us feel taken care of. At the beach Carlos always made sure we didn’t go without anything we could ever need. Including cold towels and amazing service. Olga the chef exceeded our expectations and even took the time to introduce herself. The continental breakfast was amazing! We ordered one other food item to split beyond it, and it was more than enough food. We feel so lucky to have chose such a beautiful and romantic setting for our honeymoon.

Beautiful location, great staff, nice beach front furniture. Room was beautiful, had pool on balcony. Service at breakfast was a bit slow from a US perspective, but delicious! Staff was very kind and helpful. The dead bugs in the canopy above my bed kind of freaked me out but I never said anything about it so that’s on me. Betty, Beatriz, Noah, and so many others were helpful, I’ve sadly waited too long to write this and forgotten names. Parking was handled by the staff, my car was always available when I needed it. The food at the beach club was amazing, service was a bit slow there as well. A reminder to step back and try to relax! I’d definitely return. It’s one of the nicest places I’ve ever stayed.

AMAZING! Everything about our stay was perfect. Staff was absolutely wonderful, the room was beautiful and clean, food was delicious. Even down to the little details… little goodnight desserts, notes in the mornings and evenings, putting out a pair of slippers for us at night, etc. They really go out of their way to provide a VIP experience. It’s a small boutique like resort which we prefer. They cleaned the seaweed off the beach as well in the mornings. Would definitely recommend 11/10!!

We booked for a week but only stayed one night due to the beach being so dirty and the hotel doesn’t have a pool. We lost almost 3k plus $70 deposit that they refused to return. Overall we feel they take advantage of tourist.

Wow our stay was amazing! The room was beautiful, we had the corner bottom room Next to the ocean! It was a dream waking up to it and listening to the waves. Staff is very friendly and they keep the property super clean, including rooms, beach, lobby area. Breakfast food that was included in our package was basket of bread, fruit and yogurt… everything else was extra. We traveled around tulum beach mostly, we did eat dinner here once and it was ok! I would definitely recommend this hotel and yes I would come back. The location is great too! The staff really makes this place feel special..
