The staff at the property were amazing! Romina gave me a ride into town one day and Brenda was also really helpful. They are both amazing women. The hotel itself is so darn cute! They have cute rooms with Edison lights and the pool is great. The road is really pot holey so be prepared for that. My taxi driver called them Tulum cenotes when it rains. It is a little far from town but they have restaurants and shops around there. It's a great place to stay I'd you want quiet. I will definitely book it again if I go back to Tulum!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Little Gem. The road getting to it isn't the best with lots of potholes and limited lighting but the reward of the hotel makes up for this. The rooms very clean and we never felt unsafe at this place. The staff was always willing to help and offer suggestions and advice for places to go and things to see. We could come back in a heartbeat.

Enjoyed our stay at Little Gem! This place is phenomenal. Nice quite hotel near Tulum Center, restaurants and a smoothie stand! The rooms are very clean, spacious and you get your own balcony. The staff are incredibly friendly. Special thanks to Nestor, Mayumy, for their exceptional work and recommendations! I would definitely stay at Little Gem again.

This is truly a gem of a small boutique hotel and this was our second of I’m sure many visits to this property. It’s the design, the pool and most importantly the staff who make this our home away from home in Tulum. We came in November for our anniversary and birthdays and again the trip we returned to Tulum because of this hotel and staff. They recommend the best of the best in Tulum and have a wide variety of knowledge of the area and are food and experience lovers themselves so they know where to send you and can call ahead for any tips of the moment for guests. Stay here, it’s a dream of a hotel and with only 9 rooms, you have their utmost attention!

Beautiful new boutique hotel in Tulum. Super helpful management. Only 9 rooms in total, so very private. Loved the indoor/ outdoor lobby/ courtyard/ pool space. Little cafe opposite was great for breakfast before going to the ruins too.

Nice quiet stay near Tulum center. The room was very clean and spare. A large comfy bed and complimentary Nespresso espresso pods and cookies and waters. This small hotel is located in a quiet section off the main Avenida. The side roads are rough and bumpy and get filled with large pools of water during rain. It’s also about a 15-20 min taxi ride to the very busy beach strip. Tulum is rather pricey - meals and regular things to buy. It doesn’t have the mega sprawling resorts of Cancun and Ixtapa, thank goodness, but is undergoing what feels like hyper frenzied development. The hotel is in a quiet area known as La Veleta. The staff that we encountered - Nestor and Enrique - were terrific and very helpful.

Great location just 7min walk to town center. The hotel only has 9 rooms so its a great place to truly be able to relax in a pool not full of people. Staff member Dario was extremely helpful, was able to get us a great deal on a cenote tour as well as transportation. Will definitely return to this hotel.

Truly a “little gem.” We wanted a quiet space off the town center to return to after long days exploring, and we got it. It’s still walking distance to food and convenience stores, or a short bike to the main strip. It’s not a bad drive to the beach, but if you want to do tulum beach, stay in the hotel district; if you want to explore the city and travel to nearby cities, stay at Little Gem! Super friendly and accommodating staff; we were treated better here than any hotel I’ve stayed— even the resorts. Jose, especially, always made me feel welcome to ask any crazy questions, and the other gentlemen set up the pool for us, even though it was past hours and it was just us — very kind. The grounds and rooms are minimalist, but contemporary and beautiful. I love that it’s an eco hotel— they always asked when we wanted the room clean. Coffee, biscuits, bikes, and a return covid test in-house provided. I will definitely stay at Little Gem again if I’m in Tulum.

My stay at Little Gem was FANTASTIC. I will absolutely be back. The outdoor setting is serene, sparkling clean and the pool is perfect. The room comes stocked with snacks, and they are exceptionally relaxed about cleaning your room around your schedule. They have all the bases covered including a COVID test available if you're from the US. The room I stayed in had a beautiful indoor tub, and the outdoor patio space is perfect. The neighborhood is developing, but has many great places to eat and is very close to Tulum Ave. The best part of this trip by far was the hotel staff. They made my stay extremely special: I want to give a special thanks to Jose who gave incredible recommendations about everything, about where to go, was incredibly attentive and fun. And Paty who made sure things ran very smoothly and helped me multiple times with some reservation issues with Expedia. Special thanks to Mayumy and Nestor for making my trip so memorable and helping me feel at home. I can't wait to come back to this incredible hotel.

A gem worth finding I planned a birthday trip to Tulum and chose this hotel using orbitz.com. After driving into Tulum, my initial thought was, “wow this place was a bit hard to find” followed by, “oh my god this place is beautiful.” As the days go by, you start to become a lot more familiar with how to find the hotel. I wonder why they didn’t name it “A Hidden Gem” instead because based off its characteristics, it truly is. I enjoyed the fact that you walk right past this place not knowing what’s on the other side of the brown door. It gives you a V.I.P access only experience. By choosing to stay at this gem, you unlock an amazing property with a pool, rooms with a front porch, a.c, great wifi, lovely decor inside and out, and cool bikes for guests to use. What you also get—and in my opinion more valuable than all mentioned above—is the presence of kind, warm hearted, and wonderful staff that work here. Big hugs and thank yous to Angie for all of her help. She is a big part of the reason why I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to Tulum. (P.s Eat at La Consentida right around the corner and ask for the amazing waiter, Hector)

Enjoyed my stay at Little Gem. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. They knew me on a first name basis and always handled my needs with urgency. I felt safe and location of hotel is close to center of town and the beaches. There are restaurants closely in walking and bike distance. I would recommend!

Upon entering the property, you are transported to a beautiful and peaceful oasis. The outside of the hotel is a bit rough. I thought that I had chosen a bad hotel. But we were very pleasantly surprised.

Perfect little spot to relax. The rooms are clean and comfortable. Agustin is the best, he goes above and beyond to make you have a great stay in Tulum. the hotel was exactly like the photos on the site moreover, we got to know AGUSTIN and it was a great pleasure to meet him during this stay because he always had great places to offer us both for restaurants and cool things to see a great person with smile everyday

El hotel es pequeño pero está hermoso, las habitaciones super comodas y limpias, el personal estuvo atento en todo momento de nuestra estadia, nos dieron recomendaciones y aclararon todas nuestras dudas, en general vale la pena hospedarse en este lugar
