"Parking is catch as catch can, but nearby as it is right in the middle of downtown. Nice dining at the lobby, and all representatives were very nice and helpful. Cute, clean rooms where everything seemed fresh and new. If and when I return to Rockford, Hotel Rose is where I will stay. Rogue River Tavern across the street, Corner Bar at the end of the block, and the Old Mill and Rogue River Dam and Park just another block further. Perfect location!"

"The room wasn't properly cleaned. There was mold/ mildew along the entire bottom of shower curtain. The TV remotes were absolutely filthy & gross with lots of gunk around & on buttons. The ceiling tiles were 75% falling down, you could actually see between the ceiling squares & the space above it with "stuff ??" hanging In there. There were scratches & many repair spots on walls. The sheets I'm not even sure were clean, but was too tired to walk down & up the 600 steep stairs again, but they also do many snags & straggly threads. One of the TVs didn't work more than 25% of the time. It would work for a 1 - 3 minutes & then it was of again, that was constant which finally made it too annoying to even bother. Overall... I will never have any desire to stay again & certainly will not recommend it to any else. This was my husband & my 1st "vacation/ stay cation" in 10 years & it was miserable. We left feeling worse than when we arrived. I hope future guests will find many repairs & upgrades that will make a more enjoyable stay than we had."

"Host was welcoming. A few opportunities for a five-star rating....Beds were not made with sheets. Not enough coffee mugs (2 mugs) and cups for the number of people able to stay, no trash bags available. Could be better signage to find the cottage in the dark. Also, the outdoor trash receptacles were overflowing before we had trash to put in them. The cottage was a good landing pad for us overall, with enough space for the family and dogs. "We had such a great long weekend in this lovely house! It was cozy for a winter stay, and only 10 minutes from skiing and tubing at Cannonsburg. Having the full kitchen helped offset some of our meals out, and the lake was full frozen so my kids enjoyed some boot-skating. Rockford is an adorable town in winter or summer!"
