"My daughter and I stayed out here for the second year in a row while we attended the MTTS festival. The staff is amazing! This has been consistent for both heads. They’re friendly and helpful at check-in and good about explaining all the amenities. Last year our room was on the first floor and it was just fine. This year we had a room on the second floor, and while it was not terrible, the fixtures could definitely use some updating. The faucet to our shower was almost coming off, as an example. And I really don’t like being negative, I just think this hotel is in a great location to both Asheboro downtown and accessible to places like Walmart for example. So I’m hoping to inspire the manager to make a few tiny updates to some of their rooms. Another nit picky note: on the local restaurant list we found on the top of the dresser, there’s mentions of major chains such as Subway, for example. But we found no lists of local restaurants downtown such as Magnolia 23, one of Asheboro’s best; Flying Pig, The Table. A few that’s definitely worth mentioning."

"I booked a handicap-accessible room and was assigned a room with a tub vs a walk-in shower. We managed that part OK, but if the room was indeed supposed to be for a handicapped person(s), the toilet a standard 14" height toilet vs a Handicap height toilet which is 17". That extra 3" height makes a LOT of difference to most handicapped people! Also, the only chair in the room was a low ARMLESS chair stuck in one corner. As someone with back and leg issues, the chair was practically unusable. Other than these discrepancies, we enjoyed the visit. Friendly staff and breakfast was nice!"

"This lake house was clean and comfortable. There were 6 adults and two teens who stayed and everyone enjoyed themselves immensely. This was a for a family getaway reunion. The owners were very understanding when we called them to tell them we accidentally locked ourselves out of the house! They responded very quickly and provided the help we needed.The kayaks were a great plus. They have about every amenity you need. The kitchen is gorgeous and updated with everything you would need. The home is decorated in a very inviting and pleasant way. Great atmosphere. Convenient location and a beautiful lake view.We rate it "over the top". -The Wilders"

"The house, the dock, the patios were wonderful. The only thing that was a bit disappointing was the water level, which is not something that the owner has control over. We very much enjoy our stay and we definitely come back again."

"Ashley was great to work with! Very responsive and helped us navigate the parking. The house had no problem accommodating our ever growing family! And no need to go anywhere once we arrived! (although, if you forget anything, there is a Dollar General conveniently located just down the road from the community entrance)The deck, deck slide, diving board and high dive kept everyone entertained the entire weekend! The view from the many decks is amazing! The community has their own boat launch but we chose to utilize the public boat launch, not even 10 minutes from the house. Very convenient, nice big parking area and large ramps. Highly recommend!!!"
