The sliding barn doors added to the appeal. It was calm, relaxing, and clean. They had a washer and dryer available for use for free which was perfect. The breakfast (pancakes, bacon, eggs, toast, fruits, yogurt, and oatmeal) had something for everyone. My daughter fell in love with the homeade Apple Cider Syrup. It is a definite must have. I especially liked the warmth and feeling like I was family. It was truly special to see deer right outside at the end of the driveway just grazing. The breakfast was delicious. It was nice to hang around with other travelers and discuss their travels during breakfast. My cabin was very spacious and well decorated. My only complaint is that it was not as clean as I would like. You had to wash your towels before you left and strip the bed. I also got a cleaning fee at the end which I was not expecting. Breakfast in the morning was freshly prepared and served up with a smile by Gabe, who is chef and property manager. Breakfast was delicious and the staff was friendly. Bedsheets were so soft and cozy. Cons - There was a big stain on the comfy looking chair in our room which we avoided sitting on. Shower curtain was also stained at the bottom (mildew or rust), shower drain cover was loose and almost cut myself on it. Tropic is a small town with limited services.
