I called the listed property phone number. No one answered and the mailbox was full. Luckily someone did message me back through hotelsdotcom and instructed us to go to red ledges. The house was freezing. The heater did not work at all. The money we saved booking a home was used on extra coats and jackets because the house was so cold. There is a wood burning stove but none of us knew how to tend it. I may have braved it if there were instructions but I was too nervous about having a fire when we were in and out every day. I drank hot tea most of the time to keep from freezing. Luckily there was a kettle. Not much else of use in the kitchen though. There was only one baking dish and it was extremely small. The kitchen was poorly stocked, like there were 5 butter knives and approximately 650 spoons. There was a dishwasher but no dishwashing detergent. No trash bags or way to change out the trash. There is a washer and dryer but no laundry detergent. There was a dirty moldy dish scrubber in the sink and trash leftover from the last tenants. The whole place smelled strangely and there was evidence of mice. The carpet seemed like it had been recently cleaned - but unfortunately that was not enough to enjoy our stay. Miserable at worst, poor management at best. I tried to call the phone number again, and got a recording that the mailbox was full. All towel racks and toilet paper holders were broken. The master bath sink wouldn’t drain.
