Some of the rooms appear to be undergoing renovation at the moment. My room overlooked the river, with a nice view of the old Roman bridge. It's a short but interesting walk to the hauptmarkt, Karl Marx's birthplace and museum, Trier Dom, Porta Nigra, and other sights. Friendly front desk. Very clean bathroom. Recommend that you bring your own soap, shampoo and coffee/tea. No hotel staff onsite from 7:30 pm to 10 am, so keep that in mind. This used to be a nice hotel that served a delicious breakfast, but this past stay was terrible. We had 2 rooms booked, and both rooms were dirty. Black mold in the showers, cobwebs and dust bunnies in corners. Every time we passed the front desk there was always a sign someone would be right back. A couple times we waited for a few mins to hopefully speak with someone but no luck. Our first morning we were heading down for breakfast, only for another guest to tell us they no longer serve it. I was traveling with my elderly mom and 3 year old niece, so no breakfast meant i had to find an alternate place and spend more money than i would have for the hotel breakfast. That was a major inconvenience. Do yourself a favor and stay away from this hotel. Great location near the Roman bridge, but quite noisy due to being right on the street. Room is OK but a bit on the dirty side overall. No air conditioning so a bit on the hot side. Poor Wi-Fi service had to be rebooted multiple times. Parking area under construction with limited spaces. The location wasn’t great due to the traffic noise and the surrounding area was very worn. Also am FYI: You’re not able to leave your pets in the hotel while you’re out and about, although I triple-checked the website and reservation information and there was nothing saying so. We ended up leaving a night early. I left, it was cooler in my car at 30 c. I would never book the Constantine Hotel ever again.
